I'm not a footballer but I don't get why you wouldn't go to a team where you are virtually a guaranteed starter to not even being in the matchday squad. I'm assuming on loan you wont lose out on wages as the clubs agree who will pay what percentage?? Hopefully not another Rodwell....
Not really for this thread but Robson played a game on Saturday at left WB, played well and scored a goal so maybe that's something that could work out.
Could be yeah good to have versatile players. Gooch can fill in there too, anything but McLaughlin really if we're intending to attack from WB.
Cant wait to see a team with Robson and Embleton, playing along with Hume, these players are our future and will encourage the other academy players like Mumba, Bainbridge and Taylor that their is a future at SAFC. Loan deals are not always the answer, much better imo to be introduced gradually from the bench within an organised and familiar structure.
Sorry mate, I was replying to the previous Grigg threads, and lost the header, Im hopeless on computers.
I thought it was weird that playing Robson at WB was indefensible Worth a try isn't it, seems like Parky is trying to find a way to get him a game.
I like a bit of chaos now and again. Seriously though back on the subject of transfer rumours, I dont see the sense of PP chasing this Man U starlet, if he was a goal machine maybe, but another midfield player only blocks our own players, some which I think are as ready to chip in as he is, and would be more likely to have greater desire, We have had many such loans that have not worked out and even when they do cause disruption when they leave and have to be replaced the next window.
I agree. In regards to Robson, he's plenty good enough to play in league one, plus he's versatile. Be a bit pissed off if he's shipped out on loan while we have Leadbitter clogging up the bench.
