Looks like a canny window tbh.
I believe loan signings at this level and for this club are the way to go.
Also the type of footy PP has us playing is high tempo and requires players to be very fit, pacey and comfortable on the ball.
We have recruited such players and now our bench will be stronger for it.
Relying on the likes of leadbitter is a fools errand. Ditto watmore and balsawood body.
Never seen him play but I have a good feeling about semenya (sp). He could be the catalyst we need .
3 points the night would be nice.
Looking forward to the big trip back even more now.

In regards to Peterborough I don't think they have gone backwards, presumably because Maddison has left. Living in Peterborough I hear plenty off mates etc. Apparently he was a massive disruptive influence in the dressing room, particularly when they were going through a bad run 4/5 weeks ago, got to a point where Ferguson had had enough and banished him from the squad, much like we did to Mcgeady. Since then they've won 3 on the bounce including the top 2 teams. His replacement has 2 in 2.
Keeping Toney was a massive boost for them too.
Pissed me off as I thought losing Maddison would finish their season.
Does my head in at work when they're picking up points! Their owners a right ****er too.

He does appear overbearing but tbh it must take all his time just keeping them afloat.
Showman chutzpah is a requisite skill to do just that with a team like posh.

I have noticed in the recent highlights (glimpses really) that Posh look just as effective without Maddison, and was not too bothered by the fact that SD or his advisers, looked elsewhere. From what BB posts above (thanks mate for sharing), it could well be that we have avoided another expensive addition to our hall of infamy. Well done to all concerned, who have given us a transfer window of genuine hope, its all we can ask for. OaU.

That all makes sense but it leaves them with one less decent player ...

... as we found last season, having a thin squad can hurt if you cop a few injuries.

When you look at the benches, of other teams, some have a good first 11 and not much else.

We have back ups like Lafferty, Scowen, Declan John, Semenyo, Grigg, Watmore, Ozturk, Leadbitter, etc.

As injuries and suspensions kick in I'd think we have more options than most, which could count.

Not forgetting Robson, Embleton, Taylor, Bainbribge, and Mumba who would not weaken a settled side if called upon to play a game or two, all in all we look well set to go for it. imo.

Sounds dangerously like optimism Smug - or even hope, which I personally can’t stand

Crazy fall from grace with Maddison.

My guess is if he’s been giving it Billy Bog Spuds they, and we are better off without.

Might be ideal for Hull to replace Bowen mind.

Said about Peterborough. Big threat to go up now, totally galvanized squad. And it pisses me off.

There will be lots of twists and turns in the next 4 months. Injuries and suspensions to key players can cause havoc. I think we now have a squad that can handle that better than any other in this division. Rotherham are the team I fear most.
