Have you found a girlfriend yet, or are you still ****ing over a picture of Kevin Phillips? Now run along little chav!!
It has been a brilliant window. We’ve signed a ton of new players for actual real life money that teams higher up wanted. We’ve gone from a workaday dull team that literally got a cheer if it managed a shot on goal to one set up to play attractive football and score goals. no one said they were world beaters . Just that they were exciting and decent compared to what we had and what we’ve been used to. A competitive team to enjoy watching. It was the other teams that called us money bags when I think we’ve spent relatively little in comparison. will we finish in mid table again? Maybe, but we’ll do it playing attacking footy and I’d swap that for dull negative crap that finished mid table every time. At least one gives u a smile and some hope…
Let’s have one thing straight. If you finish mid-table in League One you are not playing good football. End of.
This makes very interesting reading, more evidence of how the Club has lacked any sort of focus or drive for so long and how lucky we are to have Ashton et al. https://www.ipswichstar.co.uk/sport...rk-ashton-on-scouting-and-recruitment-8288248
To early to say we are lucky. Enough clubs have got into difficulties for behaving the opposite of Marcus Evans and have been reckless with spending. We are only going to be profitable and sustainable by getting into the Premier League. I always wanted Evans to just sign two or three quality players in each window. We never got that and now we have made up for lost time - maybe we have gone overboard - but it only counts for something when we get promoted.
It becomes so apparent how the previous managers have been let down and how much pressure they were under. It would've taken a miracle worker for us to have got out of the situation we were in if Evans stayed
Lambert was a strange one,he came in blowing smoke up everyones’ ass, players, fans and owner alike. He took us down with no hint of a fight, finally realised the total s#/tstorm he’d taken on,and then threw his toys out of the pram,as if he was looking to get sacked. The best you can say for Hurst is that he pulled no punches from the start, for all the good it did him.
