Assuming we buy + loan back Rodon, this makes sense: they get Rodon for another season, while also having time to bed in Latibeaudiere so that at some point they might realise he was born and raised in Doncaster so they can stop pronouncing his name in a phony French accent

The club has announced that we've signed Tobi Omole and Marcel Lavinier - in an U23 match report

Lavinier has made it a little more official

So what’s everyone saying for Friday’s deadline then?

    Rodon in?
    CCV out on perm?
Rose out on loan or even a possible contract cancellation?
    Clarke/ White/ Cirkin/ Bowden/ Austin loans?

Few reports reckon we’re confident on Rodon now. If he joins I wonder if Tanganga will (surprisingly) head out on loan or if Rodon will stay at Swansea for the season/ til Jan.

Really want to see Clarke get minutes but think a loan may be best for now as it’s really congested in his position at the moment.

I think another year for Rodon at Swansea would suit all parties, like we did with Dele but over the full season. Yes it could be nice to have an extra body at CB though. Maybe we send CCV the other way on loan or permanent?

Apparently Birmingham are keen on Clarke, as long as the kid plays, that’s the priority for us. I think he just needs games and we have so many players ahead of him now that it makes sense for him to get games elsewhere, even if Jose has been impressed.

I think Austin might get a half season on loan but again if he’s not going to start he might as well stay and train with us. If Gazza had left then he’d probably be third choice with us but Gazza could do a lot better than an EFL club so I think he might go in Jan if Austin comes back from a loan then.

Not sure about White and Bowden. I think the latter had an injury that has perhaps scuppered his immediate chances of a loan. I think the former might stay and go out next season.

There's a bit of a game of dominoes regarding CBs

Swansea reportedly aren't interested in CCV, which means he's unlikely to be a makeweight in any deal
Bournemouth are reportedly interested in CCV, but "interested" only stretches to a fee of around £3m (and not, say, 25% off David Brooks' transfer fee...)
And all of this is before asking if Rodon joins us by Friday or is a buy-and-loan-back deal

And then we have the elephant in the room, namely on whether we have another crack at Skriniar or Kim Min-jae in January - and that's the interesting one, because while Skriniar would slot straight into the first team (and have us play another game of Non-HG roulette...) KMJ would be far more likely to spend the back end of the season on the training ground with maybe a few sub appearances

Agree on Clarke, game time’s imperative for him this season.

CCV I think will leave one way or another. Either to Swansea or Bournemouth or elsewhere.

White may feature in one or two Europa games, especially away legs, though will that be enough? Not sure.

Austin should go on loan regardless of Gazza’s situation in my opinion. I think Whiteman will go 3rd choice if Gazza was to leave anyway, though looks like Gazza is staying for now.

White's way, way down the pecking order, so he should go out on loan for the season, if a suitable club can be found.
He looks a good prospect, but I can't see Mourinho picking him ahead of about 10 other options there.

Eric Dier's hamstring no doubt added another £3m to Rodon's pricetag
