Hardly a bargain when he's contracted until 2023 and Wolves see him as one of their prime assets I suppose we should be mouthing off to the press about how they should sell him to us now as he'd cost us less next summer then...?
I've seen £45m quoted Definitely a hard no, we could spend that figure to bring in both Aouar and Sabitzer...
So you have a new manager who must know a player because he has worked with him before but you both know better? No wonder you lot are never happy
I certainly know that, if we signed a RW in the past week in a deal worth £30m, the likelihood is we aren't going to then go out and spend £45m to have that £30m player sit on the bench It's this thing called "common sense" - something which the Daily Wail isn't noted for having
Probably not a good idea to give this the sirens treatment... For those keeping track (i.e. @remembercolinlee) the loan deal was six months with the option for a further six, which Orlando did not take up - which isn't a surprise, as he only played when their first choice keeper was at the Copa America
Who said your manager want's to spend £45m to have that £30m player sit on the bench? You are already pre-judging a manager on who he may or may not want to buy dependant on your own views. Bad start for the man in my opinion.
No not at all. But Nuno won’t get anything out of him at Spurs that he couldn’t at Wolves and Troare didn’t tear up any trees at Wolves so I’d rather Spurs didn’t go for him for the price quoted.
Do you rate every player United buy or are linked with? You said that City don't need Kane...does that mean you think you know better than Guardiola?
Common sense says it, because the options available to him are a.) Son on one flank, Traore on the other, and Gil on the bench b.) Son on one flank, Gil on the other, and Traore on the bench c.) Gil on one flank, Traore on the other, and Son on the bench Every option involves having somebody valuable, either in terms of potential game changing ability or simply monetary value, sat on the bench Add to that how it's been reported that we'd only consider selling Lucas if we received a substantial bid, so for the sake of moving forward let's call that £25m+, that's another reason to discount the suggestion that we'd sign Traore since we're keen to hold onto Lucas for at least another season on top of the whole Son/Gil part of the equation Also, the Mail has no credible football journalists at all. I can name credible football journalists at the Standard, I can name credible football journalists at the Torygraph, I can name credible football journalists at The Times, I can name credible football journalists at the Grauniad, but the Mail? As much credibility as a 4chan discussion about Scarlett Johansson's contract dispute with Disney
How do you know that? He would be playing with a completely different set of players and could be used in a totally different way. At least for 6 months try to trust the manager knows what he's doing and may just know a little more than you.
I try to not rate players until i have seen how they fit into the team and how they are used. My opinion of Kane's fit to City comes from years of seeing both player and manager/system. I still think Kane would be a perfect fit for Madrid with little change to system but other teams maybe not so much. Not in any way denigrating the player but questioning how the manager would use him without a change of team system.
Not the footballing media The Daily Mail, noted for not being particularly good at being footballing media over a period of several decades
Maybe try playing one of the 3 through the middle behind or alongside Kane? Not all mangers will want to play the same way dependant on the players they have, this is why i laugh when you all go on about someone for the Dembele/Wanyama/Modric roles, not all teams/managers want or need players for those roles. Move on and let a manager find/pick players for their own role.
The most long winded way of saying you know better than He Who Must Be Called Pep. People are giving Nuno a chance. Many think he is in a difficult position but have liked the very little we've seen. I agree the Triora (excuse spelling) at £45m would not be a good buy and considering how often Nuno used him as a sub (or subbed him off) he clearly understands his limitations. Personally I would be amazed if we signed him ahead of a FB, CB and a striker...all those three are far higher priority positions to fill.
I don’t want Traore at Spurs. I haven’t once said I know more than the new manager. Spurs don’t need another winger atm. Other areas of the squad are far more concerning than that.
