It’s somewhat karma for Malcom after the way he shafted Roma at the airport. Grass ain’t always greener, lad.
Scandi Watch Once again we're being linked with Sampdoria centre back Joachim Andersen, even though he signed a lengthy contract extension back in November, with a fee of £35m being bandied about Obviously this means the words "Alderweireld" and "replacement" will be used in close proximity by anyone reporting this, yet the fact is that his game is much closer to Verts' than Toby's - and that's the reason I believe there may be something to these rumours, because regardless of whether Toby stays beyond this season having Sanchez, Foyth and Andersen means our centre back options could be taken care of for a good five or six years
Exodus Watch You can tell it's Friday, as this has been picked up as a story Although, tellingly, Celtic fans aren't against the idea...
Following Villa's 0-3 humiliation at anti-form team Wigan and Blackburn's 2-0 destruction of Millwall, Spurs' transfer panel are said to believe that a change of home grown target is in order. It is suggested that young Grealish could now be available, as the former believe they have no chance of getting to the play-offs. Whereas, Blackburn have renewed confidence of a late season run, so aren't willing to sell their top scorer. So, you've guessed it... "We'd rather Jack, than Bradley Dack" Look.......I'm sorry.......okay?
While i let the groans die down, I wonder if Grealish is likely to be available in a way he wouldn't if they were at the top of the league.
My mates neighbours dog walkers brother in laws sisters hairdressers dad's bookies son works at a newsagents in Birmingham and he said Jack Grealish is staying at Villa for life as it is his boyhood club. I for one applaud his loyalty... No... seriously...it's not BS...why would I lie?
Last night, I had one of my sleepless nights. So, I ventured over to the main Villa fans forum. The level of despair makes Arsenal Fan TV look like a New Year party at midnight. The penny has most definitely dropped. Yes, both clubs have rich owners but they can't escape their respective league's financial strictures. Unless Villa get promoted, they will have to sell Grealish. It's no longer a debate. However, I don't see us being interested. He'll be 24 this summer and won't have played PL football in 3 seasons. However, some clubs might be interested.........if they were prepared to loan him first.....
Grealish has not : 1. significantly propelled Villa to promotion contender, in the same way Sessignon did for Fulham 2. put in a class performance in domestic cups against PL opposition, in the same way Alli did against Man Utd I would rather recall Onomah and in the presence of the current injury plague see if he can front up like Skipp has.
Hmmm... The Mirror are reporting that we have reached out to Frenkie de Jong's representatives to say that, no matter what offer comes in, we will match it That doesn't sound like us, does it? The general consensus from r/coys posters (who believe this story) is that it's a smokescreen, as we set up Barca and PSG to squabble over de Jong all summer while having a clear path at the player we're actually after - although that begs the question who that player would be, because of the other centre midfield options we're linked with (Berge, Grillitsch, Barrios etc) none are being linked with either Barca or PSG
Funny you should say that, because... please log in to view this image please log in to view this image please log in to view this image ...the Sheffield Star has confirmed that Josh Onomah has returned to Spurs as he recovers from the hamstring injury he picked up in their Boxing Day win over Middlesbrough, although it's assumed he'll return to them in February when he's recovered https://www.thestar.co.uk/sport/foo...restieri-lucas-joao-and-josh-onomah-1-9532601 I think this move may have been prompted by the utter farce of him being sent for a scan at Leeds General Infirmary, only to receive a text when he was on the way asking if he could come back in a week because the scanner wasn't working that day
Let’s hope so. Villa’s squad is ****e. Was laughable that they thought they were good enough to get play offs/ promotion at the start of the season. Grealish, McGinn and Abraham are their only decent players. It’s no surprise that they’ve managed to win just one game in the last six or seven while Grealish has been injured.
A large part of why they reached the playoffs last season was because, while one of their forwards managed to score double figures, the midfield was chipping in with plenty of goals (Adomah with 16, Hourihane with 11, plus four from Bjarnason while Grealish and Onomah chipped in with three) - yet this season the opposite has been the case, with Abraham having a good season up front but midfield contributing a lot less, notably Adomah failing to score so far this season
Dembele Watch Well this is getting complicated... And, before you ask, it's supposedly Guangzhou R&F he's joining, not Guangzhou Evergrande (aka Paulinho's club)
According to football London we are after getting malcom in on loan while harry and sonny are unavailable don't know how reliable the source is though
