Would anyone be interested in Glenn Murray? I actually quite like him, think he could easily get 15 goals a season if fit, which would be the only concern.
At 31 and possibly still Palace's first choice striker, I'm not convinced he'd be the wisest use of our transfer budget. Although I agree that he has a strong season in him if fit.
I would like to see RVW given another go and see if he can fit into Neil's side. Kind of hoping we get the same effect he gave Bassong when he came back into the squad.
I like the idea of this, but I think it is more of a case that we all desperately want it work out rather than it being realistic. Unless he has bulked up and got more of a physical stature in the last year and grow in confidence by about 100% I can't see it working out for the lad. Don't get me wrong though, I hope it does.
Adios Javier Garrido... Paddy Davitt retweeted javier garrido @javiergerr 12m12 minutes ago Thank u to everyone they have been involved in those 3 years at @NorwichCityFC . My time here its over.. New challenge ahead now..!
Not the biggest surprise. When did he last play for us?! A cup game this season? Can't remember the last time he played a game in the league.
Given that Olsson rarely misses a match, could Garrido be replaced by a left-sided CB who can also play LB? Miquel comes into that category if AN considers he is sufficient cover for both Bassong and Olsson.
How about a cheeky bid on Mings? Could be good competition for left back and has the height to play centre-back. Loads of pace (I felt he did quite well against Redmond in the play-offs), would cheese the binners off as well! Of the players who have been relegated, Huddlestone stands out for me. Holding midfielder who can pass the ball superbly. Lacks pace but alongside Tettey could work well. A few years back he was in the England set-up. He's still only 28. Also what would anyone think of Rickie Lambert?
I'd definitely take Huddlestone. Lambert would be good back up at most now I feel. A year on the bench for Liverpool can't have done his Legs much good.
I reckon Lambert will end up back on the south coast with Bournemouth, I agree that Huddlestone could be an interesting one
I think I was probably one of the few who quite like Garrido. Yes, he looked like he was running in hummus, but he had an incredible touch and his delivery was the best in our squad IMO. When he had adequate support, his positioning made up for his lack of pace. But it's definitely time for him to move on. I like the idea of a left-sided Russell Martin type who can double up on left back and left CB
I also liked Garrido, Rob, and I was surprised he didn't get more chances when Olsson was having injury problems. You're right about his delivery from deep set-pieces being excellent.
