He said last September he’d like to finish his career back with us https://www.skysports.com/football/...ouch-would-love-return-to-queens-park-rangers He’s got a decent income from TV and radio so maybe the wages wouldn’t be such a problem.
Not worth it's own thread but was Austria arranged before MW or after? Training at the same altitude as Snowdon may produce marginal gain in fitness and stamina. I've always admired the way Brailsford applied the concept of marginal games to cycling and I suspect MW intelligent enough to try the same in football. I was there last year for a week and took a trip up another 1000m (on an e-bike!) but even with the power assistance it was hard work and you felt the altitude. Just my random thought for the morning.
Feels a bit pointless to offload Smith and bring in a 53-year-old Crouch. Appreciate they aren’t exactly the same style and I love the bloke but don’t think it’s the way to go if MW wants to impose a certain way of playing.
Unless Peter fits into that style which we think not. However, at 1 nil down with 10 to go, Peter is a great option to bring in as target man with the mid sending in crosses. Plan B or C but hopefully not plan A.
Another QPR fans group have said that Wells is on his way back and that Scott Hogan is also likely to sign. Has anyone else read or seen anything about these two potential signings?
I for one do not rate Wells and do not want him back, didn't do enough for me and certainly didn't score enough. As for Crouch he needs to stick to adverts he has had his time and he is finished.
Wells looked absolute class when he first arrived, but seemed to steadily lose form and confidence as the season went on. I'd have him back though, if the wages were affordable. Class is permanent.
I mean Crouch is a very different player, he's significantly better for a start (No slight intended on Smith whom I liked a lot). I'd definitely take Crouch for a season if the finances were right, we have a very young squad and as with Rangel would be good egg to have on the squad.
I'm not sure about Wells, think he'd be too much off a financial burden. He's got some class but needs to convert way more chances, also should never be allowed near a penalty.
