Racing takes place at Ayr and Southwell with Lingfield abandoned.

I will be on Nick the Odds 5/1 at Southwell In the 4:10. Out quickly after a decisive win LTO over 9f at Wolverhampton and back to 7f here tomorrow which he gained a CD success last month should make a bold bid for the hat-rick.

    Goodluck all.

    3.40 Southwell

    Arr Kid 3/1

Had my bet limited as well so I assume I'm not the only one who fancies it.

I think there is a serious each way bet to be had as long as the race remains at 8 runners. The horse in question has got some decent enough form for a race such as this but can also run poorly. The race however is turning into a one horse book pretty much which always leaves each way value and should the favourite be less than on top of his game this selection could very easily win.

Faugheen- winner at 3 miles. Briar Hill- winner at 2 and a half.

With Clondaw Court out for the season, does anyone think Faugheen could go the Albert Bartlett route and/or Briar Hill in the Neptune?

I still find it really odd to imagine a Champion Bumper winner rocking up to win a 3m Albert Bartlett just 12 months later.

Clondaw Court was 2nd option, I think Faugheen is Neptune as he runs a little keen and has so much speed. Briar Hill very relaxed and will stay so Potato race for him.

Second question- Monksland. One of my fav horses in training. Yet again i have fanciful World Hurdle prices, but yet again the vibe is that he won't be ready. Anyone shed any light?

I find that more natural than them turning up to the Supreme and winning it.

Morning, crew. Hope everyone on board is well. The racing is not particularly inspiring today and therefore I’m waving a very wet and windswept ‘no bet’ banner. What we need, troops, is some of those ‘bumpers for jumpers’ they always liven up a dull day.

Now then here’s a question for the regional correspondents. We race at Ascot, Haydock and Wincanton on Saturday with decent cards at all 3. Is there though any chance at all of racing taking place at any of these venues???

I am due to go to Wincanton, so that will be off, whilst the other two will already be heavy with a capital H. I would say Haydock might have the best chance.

If there is one thing I hate more than jump racing its Southwell.

But I noticed Joe Eile 7/1 was running, hes not the sort of horse who would take a lot of work to get fit I dont think so first time after a break is not a problem as long as they are trying. Might just be out for a run but if they are trying and he takes to the surface he could make a mockery of this field, Verse Of Love should set it up nice.

Southwell is awful. The only plus side is that, if horses take to the track, it's a major advantage. So, for the patient backer, a horse that loves the track, has dropped in the handicap due to poor runs elsewhere, and is a strong market mover, is as good a bet as one can get.

I live about 20 miles from the course Barney, and the weather here is not as bad as some of our southern counterparts are getting at the moment... We should be good to go this weekend...<ok>

I wouldn't fancy lumping a penalty round Ayr in the bumper on this ground so I'm taking him on with the Crawford horse, Heritage Way 7/2

I don't get many tips from this mate of mine but he has passed one onto me running at Southwell...

    3.05 - Naabegha, currently 9/1...

He's usually good with his tips but its a sand runner and im not so keen on those sorts of races... Do what you will with this info, ive only had a small e/w bet on it myself...<cheers>
