    So where should the best opposition be and the most important matches be?

    In the country's top league you would think.

    By opposition I was referring to fanbase numbers; Hearts and Hibs have more fans then many of the top tier teams.

    On the pitch Hibs and Rangers are obviously not good enough for top fligut football as per the Motherwell game.

    As for importance, sure everyone would agree that a race for promotion to top flight is more interesting and more important than watching a team who have already won title face a side in 6th with nothing to play for.

    This is replicated throughout the world...the English championship final is the richest game in football and therefore of major importance, far mpre than Stoke v Everton battling it out for 9th place
