Fulham 3 Norwich 1 (U18s) The youngsters follow the older lads and their first win of the season with a super win over Norwich. Overcoming a 2nd minute shock in conceding a penalty, saved by George Wickens but knocked in by their boy on the rebound, the team the team huffed and puffed through the first half. Fulham 1 Everton 2 (PL Cup) Table topping Everton, with 7 League wins in 7, got the edge in this first group game of the PL cup but only with a last minute penalty. Timmy Abraham gave our youngsters an early lead, following great work by Harvey Elliott and Sonny Hilton. Indeed those two, along with Ben Davis, meant that the lads dominated the first half - only an iffy off side ruling stopped Abraham getting a double. The man of the moment was certainly enjoying himself. please log in to view this image Second half was more even and Everton began to show their experience and that extra bit of physicality. Evidenced by their equaliser on 70 minutes, when one of theirs won a header at the back post. Fair play to the team though, they stayed well in the game until that late penalty. The team was: Stahl; Drameh, McAvoy, Asare, Kenko (Warland 71'), Cover; Elliott, Davis, Hilton, Jasper; Abraham Unused subs: Wickens, Armsworth, Frei and Page PS the other two teams in the Group, West Brom and Arsenal, drew 0-0
Fulham 7 Reading 0 (U18s) This game seems to have gone under the Club's radar. Only information I have at the moment is the starting line up (and there were a couple of new names out today) - ..........................Wickens......... ..McAvoy...Azare......Warland....Cover.. .............Page.................Davis.... ....Carvalho......Hilton........Jasper... .......................Bieveth.... Subs: Kenko, Pajaziti, Frei, Armsworth and Chisholm
Hat trick for Sonny Hilton. Scorers were - Sylvester Jasper 15' Sonny Hilton 16' Sonny Hilton 26' Fabio Carvalho 45' + 1' Sylvester Jasper 53' Fabio Carvalho 76' Sonny Hilton 79'
Brighton 1 Fulham 2 (U18s) Yet again the youngster's game is off the Club's radar. Little known other than they came from one behind, with goals from Terry Ablade and Fabio Carvahlo. The side was: Wickens; McAvoy, Warland, Azare, Cover; O'Neill, Page, Davis Carvahlo; Bieveth, Jasper Subs: Ablade, Pajaziti, Frei, Chisholm and Armsworth
Anyone know what's happened to Tiehi? I haven't noticed his name in any match reports since the beginning of September. He looked good to me and I wonder why he seems to have disappeared from view - is he injured or something?
Don't know Captain. You're right about him though, he played in 3 of our first games and scored twice. He's only 16 and in contention for a place with Terry Ablade and Timmy Abraham, both at the heady old age of 17. While a year can make quite a difference at that age, can't believe either of those are keeping him out of the team on merit. And we usually rotate. Also the new boy Mika Bieveth has popped up in a couple of recent matches, although he's more of a No 10. So yeah, don't know.
Thanks anyway, Cottager. I didn't realise he was only 16 - he looked older and bigger than that to me. That makes me even more optimistic about him (if he ever surfaces again, that is).
Fulham 1 Spurs 1 (U18s) Cody Drameh played in this one after being on the bench for the U23s last night, and Harvey Elliott, who had gone up to the Etihad on Thursday. Regrettably said Harvey missed a penalty 2 minutes from the end ! A game where the youngsters had to fight all the way with Spurs dominating the first half. We started the second well however and went ahead in the 54th minute when a lovely through pass from Fabio Carvahlo found Timmy Abraham who confidently stroked the ball home. Spurs took control again after that and equalised ten minutes later. It was backs to the wall stuff but the lads held on and could have stolen all the points but for that missed penalty. The team was: Stahl; Drameh (Page 83'), Asare, McAvoy, Cover; Davis, Hilton; Elliott, Carvalho, Jasper (Tahir 73'); Abraham (Ablade 82') Unused subs: Chisholm and Warland
Arsenal 4 Fulham 0 (PL Cup) As ever of late the U18s seen to have fallen under the Club's radar. All I know is all the damage from the Arsenal came in the second half. Edit: the team was Stahl; McAvoy, Asare, Warland, Cover; Davis, De Havilland (Page 64'); Jasper (Odutayo 73'), Hilton, Tahir (Ablade 78'); Abraham
