One for the stats people please. Are there more high profile injuries this season? https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/51371148 https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/51362824 https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/51377664
Perhaps they should stop putting all that water on the pitch before and during games just to make it look nice for the viewers!!!!?
His eligibility changed because he's now spent two continuous years at Spurs, having signed on his 16th birthday.
Thanks. His Wiki entry says... :In July 2017, Parrott joined Tottenham Hotspur for an undisclosed fee. On 4 February 2019, on his 17th birthday, Parrott signed his first professional contract with Tottenham." But your explanation is consistent with him not being on the B list that was submitted on 1 Feb as he would not have been eligible then and we can update the B list at any time.
For anyone that wants to see the rule in question: 44.11 A player may be registered on List B if he is born on or after 1 January 1998 and has been eligible to play for the club concerned for any uninterrupted period of two years since his 15th birthday by the time he is registered with UEFA.
Question. Why have an Academy team of players if some are not tried? Why not a midweek reserve league for youngsters and others like our reserve goalies etc?
In our case that would be difficult, given we currently have approximately 37 goalkeepers at the club...
Wow.We thought we found it hard against Saints. I wonder what the fans of Real Madrid and Barcelona are thinking. Nothing's easy, presumably?
We are traditionally very good underdogs in the cl smithy, probably not the case this year so much but id always prefer a madrid or juve over the less glamorous sides, its what playing europe is all about for me. Athletico will be a real test for us, probably the one team i wanted to avoid in all honesty, very good defensively, well organised, physical and good on the counter. 1st leg is at theirs, same stadium we played the final in last year. Its a big plus for us having the 2nd leg at home, couple of away goals will do nicely but i doubt it will be an easy ride tbh. Ive said all season i think we'll win it again this time, and if we get past Athletico im very confident of that.
Here's the thing: we have a ridiculous number of goalkeepers in our U23s and U18s, to the point where we could genuinely fill out a bench with keepers for games, but barring a few occasions where Whiteman or Austin have been on the bench none have had a sniff of first team football
I agree and I disagree.Unlike yours, our team has been hot in one game and crappy in the next two or three. So the easier the better. But these are the latter stages and all the teams left in now can sink us (but I hope they don't!)
Yeah i hear that Smithy. Dont forget on your day you can be some side, maybe not shown that in a Mourinho style yet but it can only get better really in that sense as the players get more comfortable with his methods and tactics. Ya never know mate, as you say in the latter stages anything can happen. I genuinely wouldnt be that shocked at all if you had a good run again in the cl and got to the final again despite league form. Just know that youll be playing us again though fella
