The Tories have just succeeded in using #brexit as an excuse to give themselves the power to privatise the NHS

The way the BBC treated Dianne Abbott was shameful. She was a sitting duck. Dimbleby would have realised she was an easy target for both the biased some would say bigoted audience and the panel. Fiona Bruce took the easy path and piled in too. When Abbott argued with Oakshott about who was leading in current polling, Bruce went heavily in the right winger’s favour and she was wrong.

Not a good day for Bruce and she’s now lost the qudos she gained from her first programme.

    There seems to be several stalking horse type plans going on right now;

    A) may never really mentioned extension to article 50. she ruled out no to no deal and rules out cancelling article 50. She did play the default is no on 29th march etc etc.

    B) the polish foreign minister who is a member of same group that the tories are in in the EU parliament (and obviously poland loves the UK despite our racism towards its people here) mysteriously popped up with a suggestion that a limit of 5 years on back stop could be done.

    C) The extend article 50 bill if no new deal is done by 26th feb is one amendment to the motion the chump has put out yesterday. This IMO is the one that will pass.

    D) on the other side of the house Corbyn seems to be engineering a situation where nobody will back any labour motions as he's now all of a sudden tiesd in 2nd referendum. Its clear to me he doesn't want one and would actually be happy enough with no deal brexit as it would probably tip may into general election right after and he wouldn't be to blame but its his communist dream anyway.

all eyes will in the end turn towards May's deal with ireland bullied into giving up the backstop and having some form of border. Btw those boms... nothing to do with brexit <ok>

Hard border means no Good Friday Agreement.

Which is why May is a complete retard for saying she won't rule out No Deal but wants to keep the GFA.

Obviously her intention all along was get Labour into the talks, then say "my deal or no deal, and no deal isn't an option" while putting her fingers in her ears to any other proposals.

    Corbyn didn't fall for it.

May is focused solely on her party. She's ruìning the country to save the Tory party

Corbyn is solely focused on election post brexit when he's got 5 years of blaming may for the disaster and not fixing a damned thing.

Thry are both at this point self serving scum

The game of poker that every one is playing is just sickening. Each side gambling on the next move of the other.

Not really. If labour and a few Tory MPs vote for it, it could happen. The libdems have been calling for it.

The real danger now is that we end up with something that few people wanted. Goodness knows what all these parliamentary moves will lead to.

The way May reacted to such a massive parliamentary defeat was pathetic. Most sensible people would have expected some movement on her part. But no despite her wanting to “discuss “ with other parties she has refused to budge a single inch on her red lines. Her mind is closed to any compromise.

Former Chancellor George Osborne has said delaying the UK's exit from the EU is now the "most likely" option.

The UK has to choose between no deal - which he compared to Russian roulette - or no Brexit for now, he told the BBC.

MPs are proposing alternative plans to the PM's deal with the EU, including seeking an extension to the UK's exit date - it is due to leave on 29 March.

But the prime minister has said the "right way" to rule out no-deal Brexit is to approve her withdrawal agreement.

Just admit there's no consensus in current parliament, ask for a delay from EU and set up a Royal Commission. Give it a frame work to come look for best economic brexit deal....but also a direct comparison of staying in.

Findings will be presented for second referendum.... as "This is your brexit plan if you vote out. This is the economic reality of voting in."

The govt of the day will be bound to present the findings as the two options.

The Commission to be made up of cross party reps of whole UK, legal experts and business.

It's what should have happened in the first place. Yeah they can take years but ....

I would say yes. Its a stick to beat brexiteer tories with more than anything. Farage is even worried enough to say he will take a pause form spending the fortune eh amassed shorting the pound in 2016 to campaign if one occurred. That says the brexiteers know enough would change ovtes to reverse brexit if it were to come about.

    My view is:

    a) extension
    b) new backstop where ireland is bullied into line. (see the talk already of hard border on island or eu will impose hard border on irish sea)
    c) vote on mays deal with just that amended.
    d) leave EU
    e) end up as satellite state per norway after trade negotiations.
    f) no general election until this disasterous parliament runs its course as tories and dup know whats coming.

Fox says delaying A50 is a bigger calamity than no deal brexit as it "betrays the will of the electorate"

So despite people never voting for a set date for brexit they would be happy to lose 1000s of pounds each rather than move that deadline imposed by act of parliament even by 3 months?

That shows you clealr what he wants not that we didn't already know. I'd love to know what he stands to make personally from no deal.. it must be sweet
