So things have become unimaginably bad as the chavs go above us in the league. How the fck did that happen And Wolves will also leapfrog us if they win. Unless of course we beat Spuds at home. So no problem then yeh? Everyone confident? Martinez, Casemiro, Shaw and Eriksen all fit to return. Would they all start though? Would they be match fit enough to play against an in-form Spuds side? I'd probably go with... -----------------Onana AWB---Varane--Martinez--Shaw -----------Mainoo----Eriksen Garnacho----Bruno---Rashford --------------------Hojlund Bench: Casemiro, Amad, Antony, Dalot, Bayinder, McTominay, Evans
Be good to have all three back. Can't see all starting, or even any really, but you'd be right in that Martinez most likely. Son away so I guess Richarlison and Werner will be starting. Just me think Spurs aren't all that? This will no doubt bite me in the bollocks tomorrow! Personally think that we should be playing 4 3 3 formation (Mainoo, Eriksen and Bruno could do that) but feel like a stuck record. Am pig sick of the continuation of the McFred 'axis' which is just dire, negative, and slow. Trust the centre halves. **** it, what can go wrong that already hasn't? Martinez definitely helps that. I actually think we'll win tomorrow.
Errrm maybe because they are a very good team and in great form? They have a new keeper performing out of his skin, a left back who would grace any team and a left CB who you could say the same about. Maddison has been on top form in midfield and Son is always a threat (though luckily not playing on Sunday). I am hoping for maybe a 2-1 win but not confident because i have seen our strike force flounder against much weaker teams too many times. What excuse would they have not to beat us?
Because they're Spurs, lads!! *Maddison has been injured for weeks. Spurs are allowed to moan about injuries though, we're not.
Rashford take note, goal scored because Hojlund passed to you. Try doing it in return once in a while.
Anyway, as things currently are, we'll do well to get a draw. On the back foot hoping for a counter attack.
I see the Rashford bashing continues. Bloke passed plenty, worked hard enough, and scored. But any excuse to have a go
Anyway that was ****. This "make it up as you go along" football is fcking painful to watch. We were chasing shadows for the whole of that second half. Ten Hag is serving up insipid dross and it's just embarrassing. If the job's too big for him then he should fck off.
Btw I seriously doubt we're winning anything with Onana. Unless we're counting on the back 4 from ever allowing the ball to go anywhere near the 6 yard box. Neither of the goals can be classed as his fault, but a better goalie does more to reduce the chance of scoring. He's so fcking static. Doesn't command his box, doesn't make himself big, doesn't come off his line, doesn't close down the angles, doesn't direct any of the centrebacks or call out. Fcking ****e.
Maaan, I took the time today to see what could be possibly wrong. These are internationals players, World Cup winners, but you really wouldn’t know it. Watching the game, when players are not on the ball, they are simply walking around. It is fkin horrible seeing that. There is no sense of urgency without the ball. Eventually when we get the ball, players are not creating spaces to provide sustained pressure. This is where ETH holds all the cards. The training has yielded this a trend of habits that exhibit themselves in painful matches. It is a massive problem that won’t solve itself regardless which players put on the uniform.
There's no sense of urgency because there's no actual plan. You could see the difference with Spurs who were actually trying to put passes together and their style of play. Could you with us? Like fck. It's as if all our players have to figure it out when they get the ball, so until then none of them are required to do anything except chase shadows. 38% possession at home ffs. OK even if that's not important to some, at least do something when you have possession. But there was no link up or actual organised movement and passing. The some total of Ten Hag's game plan was knock it beyond their high line. Don't worry about any other patterns of play
Erik ten Hag: "The attitude from the team was great, the spirit was great. We fought and gave everything. The fans were behind us and I think it was a great game for everyone to see, not just manchester united fans, because there was a great tempo to the game."
Sounds like Ole! Obviously he watched the game from the very narrow angle of his hat. In response to your other post, we have to accept that there is high likelihood that ETH himself has regressed from when he first came here. It’s okay to hit a wall, but very important to found out ways to reinvent oneself. I don’t think ETH has shown any signs that he has what it takes to reinvent his methods. I frankly think all the players are now effectively victims of that method.
Well it's probably not surprising as a lot of the coaching staff still at the club were hired by Ole Add to that, McLaren who's well past his sell by date as Assistant manager Then there's Van der Gaag who's done fck all at the top level Eric Ramsay who looks younger than Garnacho and is a part-timer on a job share with the Wales national team And then, wait for it, here's the best one.... drum roll - Benni fcking McCArthy as our Forward Coach It's a who's who of absolute bilge
