If it becomes a competition between United and City in both cases then City would 'win' Kane as they offer the trophies, whereas anyone going for Haaland this summer has to be mad given he's available for 'only' £65 million next summer. Which is where United come into play, straight shoot out on who can offer the maddest wages and agent fees. At least Woodward will have left by then I suppose! Truth is, this will come down to where Kane wants to go. With Cavani signing, we can wait a year and maybe go for Haaland. If Kane has a desire to pay for United, we would be stupid to not explore that option.
