Really enjoyed that and we now need to see Williams & Jones up against PL standard opposition to see if they can make the step up .
They have both been in and around the match day squads lately. Definitely like to see William's as cover for Trent. Jones I feel will be limited by if we are chasing games or needing to close out games. Bit more competition for him
It would be a big call, but id be happy to see William's come in for trent to give him a rest from now on rather than move gomez across. I'd like to see elliott in the midfield 3 rather than the front 3, but it's a lot of graft to play in our midfield, a few 20 minute sub appearances would be better than being put straight in.
i was thinking this as well. I see him as a David silva type player - clever, tricky, creative. Playing out wide on the wing doesn’t get the best out of him I feel. On Minamino - didn’t do much on the ball but I do like his work rate and movement. He will definitely fit the team and style, looking forward to him playing alongside better players
Elliott's pace will always have him on the wing for now. He is proper young though, so still years ahead for him to develop. Minamino looked almost too keen. He has had two sessions with the squad Klopp said, so he doesnt know the guys and the system, he will improve over time.
Is elliott quick? I got the impression he was average speed but had has good feet and a decent range of passing on him. Think hes much more suited to an advanced position in midfield. On minamino, he looked good last night, work rate obviously there, but he dod tire. Link up play looked very slick at times even if it didnt quite come off, I thought it was odd putting him in the middle and big divi on the left but overall a promising start.
Well I was as nervous before that as I was before Barcelona. Obviously nowhere near the amount of weight of importance on the game but my nerves didn't know that Massive shout out to Adrián. We've got a number two keeper far better than a lot of first choice keepers. Jones, what can you say - scouser scores the winner. Delighted for him. I said a little while ago that he's ready for a few bench starts and he proved it yesterday. Impressed with all the young lads, the work rate and desire was magnificent.
He is just such a sh!t player and sums up their transfer activity. Unwanted players who arent good enough for the bigger teams. Bunch of rejects
