Dunno about that pen, Astro. I'm sure I saw Salah get one like that a couple of season back (at Palace?). You simply can't just stick your arm out like that and block someone, even if you don't have hold of them. If you did that with your leg, you'd expect them to go over: if Salah or Mane were up against that I'd expect them to go down, and I'd expect a pen. Just think Joe gave us the worst performance of his career there, which as I've said is a shame because he's controlled Sterling in the past without much fuss. Have to say though, Edison's elbow ball wasn't as airily dismissable as they made out: though I don't blame Taylor for that so much as VAR. And I thought the foul on Mane clearly ended up on the line - isn't that part of the box, and doesn't the law state that if a foul starts outside the box but ends up in it, it's a pen? Again, that's not Taylor's fault though.
No question about the pen. Yeah Raheem flops but it was a foul and would he get anything if he didn't go down? Maybe, maybe not.
Weird how he lives round the corner from City's stadium and all his decisions fall on the side of City. Just like how this was fine same time last season: please log in to view this image
No, only a yellow under the rules of the game. Liverpool players get fouled just the same as any other teams players and the same rules are applied.
Uncontrolled two footed studs up lunge getting none of the ball but taking out the player is a #nailedon red any day of the week Except when Anthony Taylor referees at home
Two footed? i at least thought you were old enough to count. Have you got the pic of actual contact to post?
The club you follow, have won the league for the first time in 30 years and yet here’s you, crying and making **** up about a tackle in a game from the prior season, because - dem bent refs - after the club you follow have been bent double the night before. Joint biggest ever defeat for a PL title holding side, in your first ever game as PL champions. .
Oh bugger. Pity the fifth goal was disallowed then - we could have added that one to the record-breaking achievements.
It was very lacklustre. We started great, then they got the penalty and it all went downhill from there. I don't think they were arsed to be honest and Klopp wasn't happy, despite what he said about seeing a good attitude. Had Chelsea not beaten City last week, though, I think it would have been a different story. Not a convincing win, not at the Emptyhad, but I think we would have got a draw. We would have had to have shown our mettle. As it was, the title was won and City had to come out and make a statement. It was just a bit too much of a statement and made us look bang average
Doesn't matter, we're just days away from City's illegal squad being struck down in the courts and all their records being expunged
