That was a lot of discussion since the last time I was here. Small points to note....Liverpool have lost in the league

1 game in the 18/19 season
3 games in the 19/20 season
2 so far in the 20/21 season
None at home

We have been spoilt as a fan base with the excellence achieved by this group of players. True excellence and that is why a loss feels like ****. My last take is we are still elite without a set of players who would make us untouchable if they were fit. Enjoy it lads for as long as it lasts. Can't wait for the run-in and if we do not buy a CB my suspicion is VVD and Gomez will be back by March.

 

Yep, we’ve been ridiculously spoiled....and will be again under Klopp but perhaps not so much this season!

I’d be genuinely Surprised if either VvD or Gomez played anything other than a cameo role in this season tbh. Given their injuries, I really don’t want to see either rushed back and Klopp rarely does that anyway. After major injuries like both have had, there are often multiple issues as they return to full training.

 

The biggest risk to either is a ligament rupture withing the 6 months post operation.

Vvd will be there or thereabouts on his recovery but the risk and building up is something that can be rush no matter what an absolute God like figure he cuts.
