now: What I have to say is this. Our performances mean a lot to me; it is not a good time for any of us in the real world so you go to watch a game to escape and frankly I am incredibly frustrated wathcing them crap out by not delivering. If we get one goal the pressure lifts a bit but stil lthis means A LOT. so I apologise if I annoy you. It is through caring too much.
It's a knock-on effect. We've always been vulnerable to the ball over Trent's head but we've had the pacey defenders to cover. Without them, and as you say without Hendo, Mo has been tracking back more. Mané has always helped out Robbo - they work as a pair a lot of the time, but Salah has been the outlet for the quick long ball. He still is, but less often it seems, and that's slowed our counter-attack down.
Footballers are human too and they can't always live up to our expectations. I doubt any of them play badly just to piss us off - or even because they don't care enough. Sometimes things go wrong, and the solution isn't always as obvious as many of us believe it to be. It's a hard time for most of the world. In the end, no matter how much we love it, football is entertainment and we're fortunate to have it atm. Investing too much emotion into it can only be detrimental.
Loved everything about jotas goal. One touch, playing the ball instinctively, no over thinking, just play and move. Been a while since I saw that from the front 3
I think Rui Patricio lost his bearings slightly because of the one touch nature of the build up. Diogo saw the gap and exploited it, even though the keeper should have done better.
Actually, looking at it again I could be talking ****e. From another camera angle it looked like he had lost his near post a little but maybe not.
patricio was so embaressed that he had coady's cock in mouth he faked a concussion. he's off on international duty now.
look it might have just been a teabagging, i don't know but i did rewind the game last night and the incident was certainly not much knee and bascially all groin ground into the lads face. I'd be surprised if he is not still spitting out pubes as we speak
That's exactly. It was quick and instinctive, and the shot was taken quickly and caught him off guard. We had lost that zip and unpredictable nature to our play over the past months. Hopefully Jota being back will help spark it. Even Mane looked really electric last night.
