Wales v Israel European Championship Qualifying Group B Fixture Venue: Cardiff City Stadium Kick Off: 5pm. Live on Sky Sports It's the eve of possibly the end of 57 years of hurt. 1958 was the last time Wales went to a tournament and it's now in our grasp. A win tomorrow will secure our place in France 2016, but failing a win the main objective must be not to lose and allow Israel back into the frame. They still have a chance of qualifying and are keen to spoil the Welsh party - http://www.faw.org.uk/news/ISRAEL-PLAN-ON-STOPPING-THE-WELSH-PARTY/101109/ It's all to play for. Fans going to the game have been asked to wear red, and with Israel returning a large portion of their allocation the atmosphere will be red-hot with virtually a full house of passionate Welshmen. It's going to be tight, it's going to be tense - but I'm going for a 2-1 home win to spark a frantic surge of plane and ferry bookings for June 2016. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/teams/wales
I'll be there. Shame it's in that ****ty stadium again I'll be happy with a boring 1-0 tomorrow, the performance matters little, it's all about the HUGE 3 points
I can't think of a single reason why the game isn't being played at The Millennium. Bloody mindedness, perhaps.
One reason given was the rugby, the other was that the players don't want to play there - they prefer the more intimidating atmosphere of Cardiff's ground as it gives the game an extra edge, working to Wales's advantage.
I can understand it from the intimidating factor of a full stadium as opposed to 40-50,000 in the Millennium. Just a shame my arse will be on a blue seat
Italy were beaten at The Millennium. I was in Africa,so don't know what sort of crowd/intimidation factor took place. The place can hold 70,000,I think. Reduced prices would fill the place, and intimidation would doubtless ensue.
Wakey, wakey, it's qualification day ..........hopefully! I'm looking forward to this one. Everything is set up for a wonderful occasion, let's hope Israel don't spoil the party.
We have a fantastic defensive record so at worst I think we'll get a draw. The atmosphere will be incredible so any nerves should disappear quickly and the players will be buzzing. Even if it's tight we showed in the last game we have the quality to make the difference. To all you lucky (Jack) barstards going to the game - enjoy, I have a feeling it's going to be a magical night
I don't think it's feasible to change venues late in the day and this fixture would have been set ages ago. Usually we're well out of it by now. Like everyone else I'm hoping for a night of celebration instead of despair. Stopped going to Wales games a while back because of that as I couldn't stand it any more.
Still got fond memories of watching Rush's goal v Germany live at the Arms Park, Valley but we still didn't bloody qualify. I think this group is different though.
