Walsall 1-1 Gills (Cook,Hanlan)

 

Toughie this week and i think KFG's prediction is along the lines of my thoughts. Walsall have got off to a good start and in a sense against tougher opposition than the Gills have faced in the first two games for both teams. The Saddlers beat new promoted Plymouth at home in their first game (Gills beat newly promoted Accrington) - then last weekend Walsall drew away 1-1 against one of the L1 bookies top six favourites Scunthorpe. Walsall from an odds perspective are on par with the Gills.

I'd be more than happy with a draw from this game, if we lose we lose, if we win i'll be ecstatic!

1-1 Eaves

 

Walsall 1-2 Gills Eaves Parker

 

Walsall, like ourselves have started the season well, we both play a fast flowing attack minded game, we both have quick forward players who have caused defenders problems, we are both at the top of the league 1 shots table and shots on target table.
Sounds like a bore draw is on the cards.

Walsall 1 v 2 Gillingham (their Cook, our Cook, Hanlan) I hope too many Cooks don't spoil the broth.

Expect this one to be a tough but great attacking affair. Between both Gills and Warsaw, in both teams first three games they have made a combined 92 shots. My prediction therefore reflects this:

Warsaw 3-4 Gillingham (Cook x3; Reilly, Parker & Eaves x2)

 

Walsall 1-2 Gills (Eaves, Hanlan)

 

Walsall 1-1 Gills (Ismail, Eaves)

 

We have had a start probably no-one expected more so than me. We have however had a good result away to Walsall.
So Im going to predict
Walsall 1 v 2 The Mighty Blues (Ismail, Hanlan and parker)

 

Walsall 2-2 Gills (Ferrier, Cook - Eaves, Charles-Cook)

 

Walsall 1 Gills 1 Ehmer OG Hanlan

 

Walsall 2 Gills 2 (parker.Charles Cook )

 

Walsall 2 Gills 1 ( Cook x2, Hanlan )

 

Walsall 1 Gillingham 1 - Parker

 

A tough one and I don't want to get carried away by the Gills are great mentality which is sometimes reflected in the predictions. Very early days.....going for Walsall 0 Gills 0. This I think is a game for the midfields and defences.
