I've not mentioned the general election. Vote for who you want. My only point is that Israel is becoming more and more isolated because of their abhorrent actions towards a weaker people, and as I posted yesterday more and more countries are recognising a Palestinian State. That's a big step forward.
Ok so you think change is coming, I'm happy to wait and see, it won't but you seem convinced. Personally I thought the ICJ applied the same actions against Russia, so they advanced even further forward and wiped out towns and villages without any tears to care about those poor people. The biggest event is coming in July for this country, that of a General Election, a time to make a stand against world events, nothing will change, nothing ever changes, as long as domestic politics looks after our needs, that's all people care about, themselves.
For decades Israel and its conspirators have relied on very little being known about what's going on in the West Bank and Gaza, they've controlled the narrative. No one gave a fck about the disinformation then. Even now they're not allowing international journalists into Gaza, which is unheard of in any conflict. So if easy media access, especially social media is allowing more of the world to see what's really going on, and it's changing worldwide public opinion, then it is a good thing and it can only effect change no matter how small or large which it's doing in many countries around the world. The fact ppl seem aggrieved by this is precisely because they preferred it when there was no access to what was going on and they're finding it very difficult to defend. Good.
Tbh Welshie, the small crumb of positivity is that Labour have been banging on about wanting to see the legal advice Cameron has around Israel breaking international law and whether that justifies continuing to send arms there. One thing that might (and I say might) come about is that they will change that. Labour have done so in the past, so it's not unheard of or unrealistic.
but that still don't tell me what is going to change, we have more information and... will this change come today, tomorrow, next week, next month, next year, in a decade? I'm not seeing this 'Good' all I'm seeing is more casualties, more deaths around the world, the camera has been around for a long time, many iconic pictures, I can't think of one that ever changed anything. You seem to have your hopes up, I'm not convinced personally.
I’m see that Israel have bombed a refugee camp full of women and children. Palestinians deliberately creating bad PR for Bibi again probably
It might not be high on most people's list of priorities, but I'm pretty sure most Brits are disgusted with Israel's government right now.
I didn't even need to see the reports. When I saw he addressed the Israeli Parliament about it I knew it was a bad one.
Yeh I didn't even bother mentioning it yesterday. But seeing Warsi making that statement I thought it worth posting. What will happen is this. This initial incident will cause some uproar. But the next and then the next will be seen as the norm. Pretty much like everything else over the past 7 months.
Whitehouse spokesperson John Kirby says the latest 45 Palestinian deaths (again many women and kids) resulting from shelling in Rafah did not 'cross a red line' as far as the US is concerned.... Apparently the large sign with 'Kuwait Peace Camp No1' at the refugee camp that Israel had ordered civilians to go to be safe was missed by the same Israeli intelligence service that can pick up Hamas mobile phone conversations such as 'fire a rocket from there, Abdull and have you made the deliveroo order?' ... Seems the red line has a very broad bandwidth... or perhaps has just spread exponentially due to the ever increasing blood element ...
