When you think of watching Spanish footie, we all salivate over the passing, the skill, the work rate etc but it is actually the WORST league in Europe for diving, cheating, play acting and gamesmanship .
Just been watch Barca/Madrid. I've never seen a game that has the ref blowing every 30 seconds for some trip/dive/cheating like this one. The match just stop starts all the time!

Every 50/50 ball has someone falling to the ground to gain advantage, should they lose possession.

I'm not even convinced the great bits ( Messi through ball for goal) outweigh the constant gamesmanship that goes on in the name of sport.

Makes Jonas's diving look very amatuer.

Jonas doesn't dive imo. He gets fouled, but goes down like a fanny haha.

Aye I agree, not fussed at all over La Liga. It's overrated so much purely because of the megastars of Real and Barca. The Premier League and Bundesliga are far more dynamic and interesting imo.

Was all set to mention the South American leagues, until I opened the thread seeing you said in Europe. <laugh>

The diving, cheating, play acting and gamesmanship isn't great either mind. Give me a la liga game over a premier league game any day for the better football, imo of course.

Jonas doesn't dive, he gets fouled a lot and needs to show the ref he has been fouled.

    Over exaggeration but not diving.

Absolutely ruined the flow of the game, too many fouls, too many dives, too much play acting.
Can't believe I watched the whole game!

I do like the Barca v Real games, but they seem to play each other way too often - like Rangers v Celtic. If they just toned it down a bit more and played less it would be better. Prem is way better like...

This is quite relevant to my interests.

I was in bed this morning with the telly on and thought I'd have a watch of that "Revista De La Liga" show on sky. After a few minutes I realised I ****ing hate Spanish football...

He used to dive a lot, not much now. Pissed me off.

Don't just defend him for it because he plays for Newcastle.

Mainly because of the CL and Copa Del Rey mind. Blame the draws haha.

IMO, the best leagues are the premiership and the bundesliga. I can't watch La Liga, far too much diving. Every time i see Sergio Biscuits (Busquets) i feel the need to smash him in the face repeatedly with an iron.

Bloody hell that confused the hell out of me for a second there, had to check what I said! <laugh>

Used to be horrible blatant diving, he has calmed that down. But he does still do it, as well as going down easy, which I hate as well.

Agreed. The real quality is overshadowed by blatant cheating IMO.
