For me it was that morning. I listened to the game in Australia on my PC - I had an early lecture to attend at Uni & the longer it dragged on the more worried I became about missing the end.
Another memorable day from the not so distant pass! Going by the comments some could do with a bit of cheering up or maybe they weren’t fans then..
I was there, fantastic day and game Going up as Champions is the best but winning the playoffs beats being second
That goal by DeMerit... He still owes me three pints for that. I watched the game in a pub in Banff, sitting at a table with two other Watford fans - when he scored I jumped up, accidentally lifted the table and knocked three pints over.
Happy days, I was there too. But I've never seen the video of what went on in the tunnel before the teams came out onto the pitch, which bny all accounts had a big effect on the Leeds team.
As much as Aidy's team became a parody of long-ball football, I really enjoyed the way he would think of out of the box ideas and the psychological side of the sport. We could do with some good sports psychology at the moment.
For that season it worked well as Aidy built a side which fitted his way of playing and they were all motivated to prove a point .
46 years since the best appointment made by this club ! https://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/s...end-gibbs-recalls-life-playing-graham-taylor/
First ever win in the top flight and a big scalp too. https://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/s...pictures-watford-v-everton-division-one-1982/
I find it odd that they have apparently managed to lose pictures of the two goals from their archives.
Well we don’t have the money or rather wasted what we did have on inferior players now. I mean he cost 6/8 million yet Gray cost 18 million !
