Morning Hornets. Big Sam is blooding some youth today so I fully expect we'll get a tonking. Your players will want to sign off with a good display and our squad will still be hungover from Wednesday night. 3-0 home win
If the limelight's away from the ref And the crowd hasn't left us all deaf I hope we can tell Of a rousing farewell And hear Adios QSF
Wish I could be there to applaud QSF and the boys. It is quite some achievement, despite the sort of empty feeling resulting from the lack of progress since Christmas. Thanks to all the thread merchants and to the dedicated group of you who keep me up to date during matches. I don't contribte much, but I'm usually following if I can. Come on you Golden Boys!
No pace in the side at all - and three centre backs again. I'd like to think that the new HC would at least give AG a chance to show what he's capable of, but you may be right.
Ah well - looking on the bright side, there's nothing riding on this game... I didn't realise it was so cold there today - ice all over the pitch it would seem, with half our players unable to stay on their feet.
A good game - a few dodgy off sides there and some strange decisions by Kevin Friend but a good display from our youngsters
Kevin Friend. All about him. Utter disgrace to refereeing that man. He can go do one. Anywhere. Just not in my time.
Well we had the usual strange team selection but least we cme back twice and the game was better than usual recently.. We were playing against 12 men..
Since i was with my Sunderland supporting friends, a draw was probably best, even though Kevin Friend will be disappointed that Sunderland didn't pull off a win. It wasn't a great game but at least there was a bit of fight shown, but thank goodness it's over for this season lol. I enjoyed it til the home Liverpool game, it's been tough viewing since then. Glad of a rest but give me a couple of weeks and i'll be missing football!
Bookends what with a 2-2 draw to start and a 2-2 draw to finish. Thought the fans gave QSF a fitting send off: loud and proud but not overly enthusiastic. Reasonable performance. Not sure why Abdi was outside Guedioura though. I wouldn't play Cathcart at full back either. A disappointing result but I can't help feeling that if the effort shown today had been on display over the last couple of months then we'd have an FA Cup final to look forward to, a legendary coach in the making and not the uncertainty of starting all over in the summer.
