I thought there might have been a clause in there that they would significantly increase their sponsorship if we are called Hull Tigers, even if we went down.
It's now getting on for six weeks since we lost our shirt sponsor, I know these things take a while to sort, but you'd hope we were getting close to having something sorted so we can finally get to see the new kit. I thought we'd probably be the only club who hadn't released the new kit yet, but it seems there's a few, including Chelsea for some reason.
There are quite a few in the Championship who haven't got them out yet. http://www.historicalkits.co.uk/English_Football_League/season/2015-2016/championship.html (If any have been released in the last day or so they might not be on that link, btw)
The release dates on the missing ones have all been announced, other than ours and Reading's... Brum - Wk comm July 6th. Brentford - July 10th. Fulham - July 16th Huddersfield - July 30th. City - Unknown. Leeds - July 11th(emailed to season ticket holders July 9th) MK Dons - Today Reading - Unknown
I'd like to see us stick a local charity on front . Dove House Hospice or something. The money from a deal this season wouldn't make a huge difference financially. We also have the parachute payments.
I would love that. Either a local charity or Local business rather than some multi national company or betting group who will probably be just moving from one team to another.
A lad I used to work with (who was responsible for designing the kit badge on the ladies team) has told me that Hull Uni will be sponsoring them this season. Obviously there's no connection to the men's team, but with Allams links to the university, could it happen? I imagine it'll hardly be a lucrative deal if it did. The women's team did play there for a while, maybe that's got something to do with it.
