We have "here we go" on Thomas Partey!

He will go straight into our starting 11. Who will go out?

its pretty much everywhere now. Weve paid his release clause.

He looks a good player, and could this possibly FINALLY be Vieira's replacement after 15 years?

Its not official yet so hold your horses. Hopefully we get this done before the deadline but yes he walks straight into the first 11.

He's World Class if i'm honest, can tackle, can dribble and has incredible passing ability. This would be a HUGE signing.

If we stick with the 3-4-3..

    --------------------------Leno-------------------------
    ----------Holding------Luiz------Gabriel-----------
    Bellerin--------Partey-----Ceballos-----Tierney
    ---Pepe-----------Aubameyang----------Saka---

    Or perhaps...

    --------------------------Leno-------------------------
    Bellerin----Mari/Luiz-------Gabriel-----Tierney
    ----------Ceballos----Partey------Xhaka---------
    ------Pepe------Aubameyang------Willi/Saka--

I want to see this officially announced or at least Ornstein giving it the thumbs up before I celebrate.

Looks like it's happening though .... will be ****ing IMMENSE if we get him

Let's wait and see first....but it looks like it's virtually done, according to most reliable journos.

I still believe we needed one more midfield signing, but Partey is better than nothing at all.

Partey and Aouar would have been brilliant.

But if I had to choose one, it would have been Partey. We've got some decent attacking options, but we are crying out for a proper DM/box to box.

maybe this is me getting caught in the hype.

But I really do see this as potentially a Van Dijk to Liverpool, Carrick to United type signing. (key signing that can really push the club forward).

It's a ****ing great signing - I woke up in the best mood. Still needs to be noted that we lack a real creative central midfielder but I suppose Ceballos has the potential to fill that role.

Ceballos seems like the obvious choice for that no 10 role in a 3-4-3. But from what I've seen from watching Partey, he's a proper box to box player and gives an attacking threat, so he's another option going forward too and we don't have to rely on an out and out playmaker in the middle.

Well in a 4-3-3 ..Yeah I think you have Xhaka deep playing like an old school No.6 then Partey playing box to box and Ceballos as the most attacking of the three

So we currently have 19 non-homegrown players in the squad and by the end of tomorrow we will have to register 17 non-homegrown players for the Season ahead leaving 2 unaivalable for EPL games.

What's the bets that our highest paid player - Mesut Ozil on almost £20 million a year wont even be registered to play in the Premierleague this Season?

Seems likely. He's clearly not in Arteta's plans and Ozil has dug his heels in. Arteta isn't gonna **** about, so he'll just leave him to train with the reserves in the end.

I just cant get behind Ozil - something about his lack of drive annoys the hell out of me.(and alot of fans by the looks of it) He's not been a regular for 2 years now - it was clear he's not going to be anything but a fringe player this Season yet he would rather stay and earn a fat paycheck doing nothing than go elsewhere and try to acheive something.

If I were to guess I would say Ozil and Sokratis miss out.

He's so finished at Arsenal. I just wish he'd go now. Serious lack of ambition to know you're not going to play any first team football yet still be content to sit there and collect a big wage packet each week.
