It is not the minority sport some people might think & has quite a following over here in Toronto, especially now they have a
team (in name at least) doing well in the 3rd tier of the pro leagues in England.
There are 3 Hull lads ( City fans) coming round to watch the game at my place Sat a.m., plus a Scottish mate (Dunfermline fan) whose pleaded with me for an invitation, in addition to a West Ham Utd follower who's partial to the game.
I'm pretty sure their interest is more than just the fact the my beer fridge will be full and open at 10 a.m. our local time at kick off

Strangely enough I was in Cala Bona back in July and had a couple of nights out with a Glaswegian.
He absolutely loved the game and knew all the teams , players rules the lot.

Viewing figures around the world compared to football, rugby union, cricket, basket ball, baseball and the big sports would show it is a minority sport compared to others. Not that anyone shouldn'tenjoy it because of that. The toughness and fitness of RL players can teach some others a lesson.

 

There seems to be more interest in the Mighty Black n Whites on this forum than The Tigers.
