If we cannot beat a league 2 side what chance have we got? Tuesday Night was an embarrassment and the players should be ashamed of themselves. Unfortunately I think the Hammers will win but I want us to win especially as it is also on my birthday

Um, there were ELEVEN CHANGES from the team that narrowly lost to the UEFA cup winners last Saturday.

Sorry but this comment warrants one of these birthday boy <doh>.

We are going to be underdogs in nearly all of our fixtures as a newly promoted club without mega money signings.

Despite playing 2 of the best sides in Europe and Newcastle we still managed to score 6 goals and win a game.

If you have pissed your pants before September then you are in for a long season .

I won't even tell you who we play after West Ham or you may completely brown out my friend. <laugh>

They were eleven (11) different players to our regular first team, don't make knee-jerk assumptions <ok>

I can take losing to teams like Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, Man U who spend mega bucks on players but to lose to teams like Crawley is an embarrassment and left me fuming because we are a far superior team to them and gave them that 1% chance their manager said they had of winning to win. Would have expected us to have scored at least once against them. This was also a chance for some fringe players to state a claim for the first team and they let themselves down

We are not going to West Ham expecting a win , we go into every game hoping to get a point or 3 .

This does not mean I expect us to lose either ,we are still getting used to the massive chasm between the Premier League and the Championship , if we keep scoring at the rate of 2 a game and conceding 2.6 goals a game then we either need to try and tighten up or score more .

We have looked far from whipping boys and Pukki has scored more than Huddersfield's top scorer last year in the first 3 games .

Our starting 11 have zero reason to be ashamed of the performance from yesterday's starting 11 most weren't even in the squad.

And that's pretty much how cup football works.

First time as a hammer I've wanted us to sign a player before we were linked. I didn't think we'd get him tbh, we're a drop in level, and Man utd were being linked. When he settles in and we have our front line on the same wave length we're going to score a few goals. Good news for you is it's not there yet.
I've got Haller, Pukki and Cantwell in my FF team for this game.

At £45m for Haller, I think we were fishing in the wrong pond when we were supposedly after him too. Come to think of it, £45m would probably buy our entire squad plus a good portion of the salaries too.
Should be a good game on Sat. There will be goals!

Not anymore, £45m might not buy Godfrey and Arrons now, continue to play well and maybe Godfrey only!

    Bah!
