There appears to be a wave of interest around Bletchley Park with another quality programme last night. The feats of people in the intelligence department was simply amazing and perhaps even more so, the fact that they kept the whole thing secret for many many years after the war had finished. Imagine that today? Exactly!
I tried a few episodes of that and found it very dull. Il try it again at some point, but wasn't taken by it.
With Walking Dead season 6 approaching, me and the lady have saved Season 5 to watch closer to the time. So we are watching that, and the Season has started pretty well.
Has anyone seen the show "The Fuzz" on Netflix? It's like "The Wire", if the wire was set in a world containing puppets. Really strange concept.
Just as a little filler when I have a spare half hour to fill and want something lighthearted I've been working my way through "Family Guy" Season 13 (just not as funny as it use to be, Seem to go for more graphically shocking things, than actually funny random things they notice about the world. It's more just a time filler you don't have to think about that makes you smile occasionally) and "The League" Season 6 (Still pretty funny and worth a watch if you can watch immature American comedy about C*ck and Poo Jokes. ). In terms of a normal hour long type show. Just Started "Hand Of God" Decent Pilot. I really like Ron Perlman from "Sons Of Anarchy", and he's very good again in this.
I don't know if any of you are quiz show fans, but there's one on ITV during the day hosted by Ben Shepherd called Tipping Point. It's nothing special, a pretty basic general knowledge based thing with a ten grand jackpot, however if you are a fan then keep your eyes peeled because yours truly is going to be on it some time soon!
It won't be aired for a while yet, I'm filming it in a fortnight and it's not a live show or anyting so it's not likely to be screened until later in the year or maybe even early part of next - I'll definitely let you all know when I get the date! I was the standby a couple of weeks ago so sat in while they filmed three episodes - I can't wait to actually have a go myself though!!
I'm hoping I won't need to and that I can bag the jackpot before it gets to that - got to get to the final first though, I'm taking nothing for granted!
Dripping in episodes of "Backstrom" every now and again. Anyone seen that? Dwight from American Office, as a detective with the personality and problems of Greg House from "House". It's not consistently brilliant, but it is funny, and they do have a few episodes that reminded me of "Luther" in terms of ideas for a killer or kidnapper. 3 episodes til the first seasons finished, and I'd say it was decent, funny and has potential.
This is england '90. Not bad, more miserable than Albert Square tonight though! And definitely not as good as the film!
Can't watch this yet, I saw the film and the first Series, but not seen any of the subsequent series, so can't just jump into this one. Not sure whether I'll catch up, although the trailers for this season do look good.
Started watching the first season of True Detective last night, think I'm going to really enjoy it, superb first episode
A second series of FARGO is starting later in the month and Series 1 is on 4OD Well worth a watch, the Coen Brothers are fantastic IMO
