Seconded, two very good films and two completely different films at that. I thought Javier Bardem played one of the nastiest characters I've seen in No Country and yes, Colin Firth was superb in KS.
A lot of talk about war films here. It's a mini-series rather than a film, but has everyone watched Band of Brothers? Superb watching. Kind of the spiritual follow up to Saving Private Ryan in that it was produced by Spielberg and Hanks.
Only one I can think of is On her majesties secret service with Lazenby as Bond, seen all the rest. There are probably loads of obscure Asian movies I havnt seen that I would enjoy along the lines of itchi the killer/hard boiled etc.
I can't think of any that I want to watch but haven't (otherwise I would watch them). Some of my favorites that haven't been mentioned yet, which others might like, are: Memento The Butterfly Effect Source Code Groundhog Day
Enjoyed The Railway Man with Colin Firth, WW 2 movie. Fifth plays a Jap prisoner of war and the scenes where the beat him with clubs are astonishing, it's based on a true story and well worth a watch.
They are creating a third one call 'The Mighty 8th' about the lads in Bomber Squadron in WWII looks fantastic.
Thought it was a very good film, did drag in certain places but as I said before about Colin Firth the man is a tremendous actor from The Kings Speech, The Railway Man and then Kingsmen.
Got the box set, brilliant is the only word to describe this series. If it's in the same vein as Band of Brothers then I'll be watching.
