Asian week in Lidl has some decent stuff, don't get me wrong they are not amazing like in a good restaurant but great to have them in a supermarket now and then.

I recently bought an air fryer, and the cooking results are fantastic, and it is around half cheaper to run than an oven. We are still experimenting, but one tip I can give is to buy some tins of new potatoes (they are very cheap), drain them and dry off, season with whatever you fancy (garlic, chili, salt, pepper etc), a splash of oil and cook in the air fryer for around 20 mins on 200C. They will turn into very crispy roasties, it is a bit trial and error how long they need but just keep your eye on them and cook to desired level.

Cracking things aren't they? I've been doing air fried sprouts in ours. Bit of garlic, chilli, salt and pepper. They're spot on. Works great with broccoli and cauliflower too.

    Steak night part deux tonight.

got a chunky 10oz rib eye. Large shroom which will be filled with Stilton, tenderstem, garlic prawns, cauliflower cheese, M&S French fries and M&S onion rings. Will probably ruin it as I’ve popped to the boozer for a couple now.

tomorrow have the rents coming for dinner and have a leg of lamb to destroy.

If you ‘velvet’ and cook before adding to the sauce. So was crispy.

In all fairness M&S onion rings were better than any shop bought ovenable ones. They were decent. Their French fries are better than McCain ones too.
