no word just caught it on live text of international matches. was 1st half he went off. fingers crossed not too bad
sounds like a precaution from the comments http://www.ghanasoccernet.com/asamoah-gyan-suffers-injury-doubtful-for-brazil-friendly/
Yeah but what do they know, he was taken off in an important game first half, does not sound good at all especially if it is a hammy
Imo it's not. When players get injured it gives other players a chance they wouldn't normally have got. When Gyan goes to the ACON in January we need to rely on these other players like Whickham and Ji. That's all...
You're lucky as HELL you've brought Bendtner in, otherwise you would currently have no proven EPL strikers whatsoever, and only two young players with potential. That's a very dangerous position to be in for an EPL team which is supposed to be aiming for a high finish. No injury like this is a blessing in disguise, because it makes your attack weaker overall, and if Bendtner gets injured too, you're relying on two completely unproven players.
And they will remain unproven unless they are given game time, that's why it MAYBE a blessing in disguise imo like. By giving other players like the ones I mentioned game time it could be argued it is making our "strike force" better in the long run but weaker in the short term. Twisted logic maybe, but that's my logic like...
Bruce should give the players a run out in time when they're ready, both Wickham and Ji. An injury to one of only your two senior strikers is in no way a blessing though. I'd be bloody worried. Wickham and Ji should get gametime as subs and in cup appearances for now, but suddenly relying on them to supply all the goals at any point in the next season could easily dent their confidence. Imo, Wickham is already low on confidence after being shoved out during the derby match.
this is good news http://www.supersport.com/football/africa-cup-of-nations/news/110902/Gyan_injury_not_serious_doctors
To be fair Bruce must have some reservation about whether they are ready yet, or is there any other explanation for neither of them starting against Brighton in the League Cup and playing Sessegnon as lone striker.
Oh woe is me. You lot have depressed me somewhat. I am beginning to wish I was back in hospital. At least when I was in there I had no ****ing internet contact.
