Real reckon they can get their money back from the Bale transfer Good luck trying to market that fug ugly mug http://www.marca.com/2013/08/26/en/football/real_madrid/1377501470.html
I have not said a lot about this potential Bale deal, but the price really is ****ing insane. Ronaldo was world player of the year, who had led his team to the CL title in the season before he was sold, and he was clearly the better player. I know that was nearly four years, but there is no way that Bale should go for a higher fee than what Madrid paid for Ronaldo. Madrid are just mental, and I hope Bale flops, because this deal would then go down as the worst in history by a mile. Also, if Messi was to be sold tomorrow, just how much would he cost?
It is truly bonkers, the spuds have made out like Bandits. There is no way he is worth that much, especially when Real already have Ronaldo. He will leave a big hole in the spuds team though, even with them signing Soldado and Paulinho.
Also I still can't get my mind around the fact that a Welshmen is about to become the most expensive footballer ever.
I think Neymar going to Barca really pissed Perez off, and he had to do something and this is his response.. But IMO, in the long term, Neymar is going to be the better player.
By a country mile. Bale is a good player, but it was the circumstances of him hauling the spuds arses out of trouble in such spectacular fashion that made him stand out. It made him look like a stellar star in a team of dullards, but I'm not sure he can have such a big an impact in a Real team.
So Arsenal fan Gareth Bale finally gets to play for a big club, good luck to him. What makes this deal so much sweeter is that the Spuds sold their best player to Real, which in turn enabled us to buy one of the best midfielders in the world from them. Good old Spuds, the gift that keeps on giving.
Hahahaha you couldn't help it. But I don't mind Bale and wish him the best at Real, as the pressure will really be on him. Not only is he the most expensive player but he's reportedly on massive wages. I've seen quotes of 250k a week to 300k a week, absolutely gobsmacking. Just imagine if Maradona played in this era.
