After the dust has settled on yet another couple of points squandered what are people's thoughts on our current situation?

Are we staying up or going down?

I voted staying up. Have a feeling we'll win our next two for some daft reason!

Before yesterday I was fairly confident we could stay up. Now we're going to have to pull of a couple of surprise results. It's looking grim but it's still possible. Everything hinges on that Norwich game. They look like they're up for the scrap and have a lot of character about them, so it's going to be tough, but if we go there and perform to the best of our ability I think we can beat them. It's really frustrating since I think this team is actually better than the other "great escape" sides over the last few years, but we seem to be lacking the luck that we've had in previous seasons (i.e. that Everton game last year when we got battered for 80 minutes and won it through two deflected goals...)

Straight shoot out between yourselves, Norwich and Palace (if they keep going on this run). As has been said, it hinges on the Norwich game. Win that and you can do it. Defeat there would, pretty much, be the end (barring your usual miracle)

It's in Norwich's hands now. If they beat Palace and us I think our only hope is that Palace don't win another game and we get Everton and Watford with their eyes on the fa cup final.

My fear is that what has kept us up in recent years is that we've reached the point where we'd all but accepted our fate and the shackles came off.

It doesn't seem there this time and we have a manager that would rather draw than risk going for the win. Draws won't keep us up unfortunately.

Staying up I reckon, it's going to be tight but when was it ever any different with our club, my memories not that long and I'm 67 for God's sake.

If norwich win the next 2 games we are both down ! 37 points they will be on. and we cannot beat ANY team at the minute. I wonder now that not beating Palace that night could have a huge bearing on us now. Anyhow the we won't face crap refs in the championship and win more games.

Up for me but very much depending on not losing to Norwich.

Beat them and Leicester and it's a shoe in - a tall order but why not - we are playing well.

Norwich have got 7 points out of the last 9, so I can't see them failing to get at least 5 from their remaining 18. A point a game would only just get us past where Palace are already (34 points now, but with a +11 GD on us). So unless they lose every game now, 35 points just isn't enough. I hope I'm wrong. But I think we're going down.

Stay up no problem! We will beat Leicester and Norwich on the bounce. Got to keep our nerve. No time for 'nay' sayers at the moment. We are going into battle in our next seven games. As supporters we are either up for it or not....got to push the lads all the way now to get where we need them to be. We have a very good team now with a very good manager. Forget about points totals......it's not about that anymore...it's to me just catching Norwich. I think the Nags are toast now so it's a straight fight between the two of us now. Can we catch them over the next seven games with them to play and we have a game in hand....most certainly. I know there is quite a few of people on here with ex military back grounds. I'm sure they wouldn't want any nay sayers on their team going into battle......"faint hearts win **** all".....haway the lads!!!!!

We need 9 points from last 7 games. Norwich won't get more than another 5. We'll do it.

have you ever heard the words tactical retreat, knowing when to run and when to fight,
reminds me of a christian song sang in school
    fight the good fight
    with all thy might
    then if you lose
    your in the ****e
