I didn't say that there was genuine interest. In fact I hope there isn't. But I can't think of one player in that first 11 that potentially wouldn't interest a top European outfit.
Its quite usual for the top performing teams players to be leaving for somewhere or other according to the press.
I wouldn't be surprised if there is genuine interest from Real in Dele Alli ... he's been exceptional this season (he was pretty good last) ... they snapped up James Rodriguez and Alli is already looking a better prospect ... For the avoidance of doubt this is not meant as a wind up of Spurs fans ... I'm quite happy to do that ... but not on this occasion.
According to the Spanish press Real have their eye on him. Whether they'll act or not is another matter.
Also I think the goalkeeper will be on the move....Spuds are looking for replacements if the gossip columns are correct.
If a player wants out there ain't much you can do. Once his head is elsewhere, you just try to get the best price you can for him.
If Alli went and played abroad it would help the national team, more players need to go abroad imo. Bunch of shysters.
I agree wholeheartedly but why would they? They can be on 80k+ here at such a young age without even achieving anything. It's bonkers.
Exactly. Then people moan when we do **** in tournaments. It's hardly rocket science, our players aren't cultured in football. Money the root of all problems. The difference with Alli is he could pretty much demand his price, I hope he goes, the kid deserves it. However, someone like Wallcott would be on about £25 a week. There's the problem. Alli's don't come around too often.
I certainly don't want to see him go. He's a special talent and they don't come along too often. Realistically, any ambitious world class, or potentially world class player wants to play at the very top of the game. That applies not only to Dele.
Arsenal 's name should get a mention here as they are the only team to get into the top level without earning it .
All I'm saying is their first 10 years in the top flight were dodgy at best , from how they got in to Norris's spending habits at the end of the twenties . I 'm probably off topic as I've just noticed it said " Premier " League .
Ignore the fact he plays for Spurs. The development in terms of the technical side of a player's game - especially a player with talent or potential for it - is always better on the continent. Partly because they develop the player NOT a clone that suits the lowest common denominator needed to win a game.
