The last poll about this was not very accurate and missed several options, so I decided make another one which includes other British drivers. Also included some stats to help some make a decision. Poll is limited to 10, so I could only include those British drivers who were already World Champions (with the exception of Mike Hawthorn, who is replaced by Stirling Moss) Jackie Stewart: 3xWDC, 27 Wins, 17 poles, 15 Fastest Laps, 4 Grand Chelems, 43 podiums, 27% Win Percentage, 43% Podium Percentage. Jim Clark: 2xWDC, 25 Wins, 33 poles, 28 Fastest Laps, 8 Grand Chelems, 32 podiums, 34% Win Percentage, 44% Podium Percentage Graham Hill: 2xWDC, 14 Wins, 13 poles, 10 Fastest Laps, No Grand Chelems, 36 podiums, 8% Win Percentage, 20% Podium Percentage Stirling Moss: 0xWDC, 16 Wins, 16 poles, 19 Fastest Laps, 1 Grand Chelem, 24 podiums, 24% Win Percentage, 36% Podium Percentage John Surtees: 1xWDC, 6 Wins, 8 poles, 10 Fastest Laps, No Grand Chelems, 24 podiums, 5% Win Percentage, 21% Podium Percentage James Hunt: 1xWDC, 10 Wins, 14 poles, 8 Fastest Laps, No Grand Chelems, 23 podiums, 11% Win Percentage, 25% Podium Percentage Nigel Mansell: 1xWDC, 31 Wins, 32 poles, 30 Fastest Laps, 4 Grand Chelems, 59 podiums, 16% Win Percentage, 31% Podium Percentage Damon Hill: 1xWDC, 22 Wins, 20 poles, 19 Fastest Laps, 1 Grand Chelem, 42 podiums, 18% Win Percentage, 34% Podium Percentage Lewis Hamilton: 1xWDC, 17 Wins, 18 poles, 8 Fastest Laps, No Grand Chelems, 36 podiums, 24% Win Percentage, 51% Podium Percentage Jenson Button: 1xWDC, 9 Wins, 7 poles, 3 Fastest Laps, No Grand Chelems, 31 podiums, 5% Win Percentage, 16% Podium Percentage
I know. I initially included him, but as the poll is limited to 10 options, I had to replace someone in order to bring in Moss.
That's the trouble with you. Still an immature little kid and you know nothing of F1 pre-2007. I'm 16, but at least I've made the effort to research past championships and drivers from the 60's, 70's and 80's. Yes I am a Lewis fan, but to me he's not at his best yet, 1 or 2 years/ another championship and he should be.
