Having read todays programme notes...message from short is dont panic.....therefore i think he cannot really pull the trigger this week..... he will give bruce a couple of more games to save his job!... come crimbo i think we may have a new manager..the question is who the hell can we attract given our financial clout or lack of and the pressure that exists to manage SAFC............WE need a manager who can handle the pressure and can manage on a budget...i would be very interested in who the more vocal fans think who we can attract.with reasoning please..over to you I personally hope we get Martin Oneil......not because he will do much better than Bruce.but just to shut up the mon lovers who i fear are mistaken about his abilities.I personally think that oneil will not take the job without a good financial package and plan.....and i do not think short is willing to finance such a transformation as we do need around 30 million to get a couple of strikers and a couple of wingers and a creative midfielder..
I suspect that the search has already begun in earnest. If Bruce is still in a job on Monday it's probably because there isn't someone lined up (yet). I heard a rumour from a reliable source yesterday that Mark Hughes was offered the job recently but has turned us down. Bruce has to be gone; that's only a matter of time now.
sorry bald do you mean that hughes has turned us down because bruce is still in post but may take it if he us sacked first( i know we cannot have two managers what i mean is it because hughes does not want to be seen discussing jobs when the manager is in post)........whats the rumour to why he did not want the job as i feel this will be key to who we can attract
