For a bit of fun, or maybe for real, who would you like to see sign for us in the near future? I'm not talking daft stuff like Kane or Mount or that sort of thing (well, maybe not quite yet!) but players who you think would be a good signing for us as we look to the future I'll kick off with Ivan Toney from Brentford - bit of experience, seen him a couple of times this season and looks like a class CF..... ....Next.....
Didn't Gillingham turn down our £1m offer for him? And if I'm not mistaken, I think we had a bid for Szmodics also turned down by Colchester
I have no idea, sorry. he was so influential in getting blackburn out of this league and a player like him is just what we need-returning some belief in how football should be played at our club aside from the practical effect of offering some high quality creativity and midfield goals. something we've not seen for more years than i care to mention.
I would like to see a medical / sports science team that don't work remotely & actually look in to the root causes of our injuries
They work remotely? I don’t know much about our set up that side of it to be honest, except that whatever we are doing isn’t working.
If I was the new chairman, I would bring myself into the team talk tomorrow, or even today, alongside PC, and say; "This is the best man for the job, we all chose him, and you are all playing for your lives and our future at today's match! Go play now and get us all off to the best start."
Definitely wouldn’t interfere on a matchday but certainly speak to them as a group before training starts.
gaffer, if they couldn,t motivate themselves this far into PCs reign how are a bunch of yanks going to do it ?
That’s absolutely right answer in many ways. Fixing us isn’t about signing a few players (it’ll help obvs) it’s about everyone connected to Suffolk and the club investing energy into it. That’s how it happened under GB; every business, school, match day supporter and so on was contributing something positive. Watching that promotion docu agin reminded me what GB said; the success was from a. collective ‘team spirit’ inside and outside of the club that carried us to 5th place in PL. if they get the right staff in, engage the community and supporters and make the club a force for good again that means something to people every day, not just on a Saturday, PC gets some proper backing then we can stop yelling abuse at our own team for being ****e and we could possibly start a new journey upwards drawing in the traditions of this wonderful club. being better than the rest means being better in every way, on and off the pitch, because it’s a collective effort we must play a vital part of.
I’d like to see a bit of scouting and recruitment from foreign leagues it seems like something we have been ignoring for years.
