Drogba was an incredible player for a long time.

 

It's a straight shoot out between Drogba, Essien and Yaya at the moment with Drogba winning for me.

Saying that if Salah and Mane can keep producing their level in the league for another 3-5 seasons then they'll be among the mix.

 

Best player I have seen at the SOL, oozed class and looked a notch up from the rest... 4 notches if we include our players at the time..

I'd say 80% of liverpool fans think he's a better player than Salah. I'd also say 99% of liverpool fans think he's world class.

The problem when we signed him was the reports from saints fans saying he wasn't consistent enough. He's probably our most consistent player along with VVD.

Unbelievable player. Interestingly Klopp always says the only person that doesn't think he's world class is Sadio himself, lacks belief from all accounts.

 

Drogba was definitely the best big game player out of the African lads.

I’d probably say Yaya was the best overall. Monster of a CM when in his peak. Set the bar for box-to-box midfielders.

 

I'm pretty sure I said on your board when you signed him that he was the only one you had signed from us who had the potential to be world class.

Love Mane, that hat-trick record will never be beaten either.

 

Drogba gets my vote and Yaya comes a close second

 

Yeah you did, he truly is class. Even the way he acts etc. is exemplary... admittedly he had the hump on Saturday but that's unlike him and actually quite healthy once in a blue moon.

I don't even blame him, Salah is so greedy at times.

Some of the pieces of skill he pulls off are insane and he's scored some unbelievable goals in his career.

He makes the starting 11 in any team in world football at the moment imo. Salah doesn't.

Allison, VVD and Mane are probably our 3 truly world class players.


Obviously I don't think he's the best ever African in the PL but 2/3 more seasons and he's definitely in the conversation. Its probably Drogba for me... mainly due to his power. Crazy good player.

This! I think Firmino is a massive reason Mane and Salah are so good though
