Watch the Bros Documentary. When the Screaming Stops on iPlayer on BBC4 I know you don’t want to I know what you think But you should It’s ****ing hilarious (not intentionally) Like a pop Spinal Tap with David Brent singing for the band Really Really Toe curlingly hilarious
Think it's cynical tv, and they've been held up to ridicule for our amusement. Uncomfortable watching.
I saw Matt Goss's lounge show in Las Vegas a couple of years ago with the Missus. It was pretty bloody good, helped by the fact that he did 2 1/2 hours due to the fact his mum was in the audience (sat right next to us) on her birthday.
I watched it, and I get the David Brent links, but I have to say that I just found it quite sad. They both appear to have destructive egos, I hope they sort themselves out.
Really? They clearly sanctioned it being made and distributed, presumably for ‘publicity’ The drummer one looked like he had some problems but the singer came across as a massive ego with an uncontrollable desire to provide faux psychology ‘The man who sweeps up is a king...because it means I don’t have to sweep up’ .... Anyway the end was nice. Quite like the Anvil documentary
Just watched five minutes and it's ****ing hilarious, unintentionally as you say. Even in five minutes you're waiting for a wink or a bit of a nod but they're completely deluded
Just watched it on the Betamax ~ fabulous viewing yes Spinal Tap & Brent~esque moving at times hilarious unintentionally at other times, no Craig though ... ****s!
Just watched the final episode of a 3-part documentary on Beeb 4... "Reginald D Hunter's Songs of the South". I'd missed it when it first was aired in Feb 2015. Worth viewing if you enjoy history of music programs. Available on BBC iPlayer for next 15 days (episode 1) to 29 days (episode 3).
A Very British History: The Jews of Leeds is on tonight including their shipping into and through Hull by the Wilson Line.
History of Art anyone ? Following has just been repeated... "Art of Spain" - first shown 10 years ago, 3 part series. Still available on iPlayer - BBC4 Tv for (2 weeks for Part 1...to 4 weeks for Part 3). Decent documentary if you're partial to the ilk.
For those interested, @ 9:30 p.m. tonight (Sun 3rd BBC4 telly), there's a documentary entitled : " Faithful. The Marianne Faithfull Story" . There'll be some old footage worth watching no doubt !
"Hull's Headscarf Heroes" documentary... Being repeated on BBC4 tomorrow eve @ 11:00 p.m. GMT (Wed March 27th '19) Well worth a watch if not viewed before.
Yorkshire Ripper documentary 3 parter Tues, Wed Thurs just gone. Never realised West Yorkshire police were so utterly ****. In fact, unbelievably incompetent and amateurish utterly ****.
I hope they included this quote... In a speech at the trial, the attorney general at the time, Sir Michael Havers, said of the victims: “Some were prostitutes, but perhaps the saddest part of the case is that some were not. The last six attacks were on totally respectable women.”
If you watch the programme, those sentiments were first voiced by the WY CID at several different press conferences.. The commentary said such views were around at the time especially from the type of 'decent' copper who had seen war service etc Women also advised not to go out at night, although men could carry on regardless.
