I come in peace. This kid has basically kept us up this season and he’s not even playing in a good team. We would love to buy him but do you chaps believe he is good enough for you? P.S please beat Fulham tomorrow.
What a crass and insensitive statement! It is fans like this that gives us a bad name. A rival fan has come on to express gratitude as regards one of our loan players plying his trade with them and enquiring about him.. All you can do is jog on if you cannot say anything constructive!
It's nice to see him playing well. I wouldn't be against another Newcastle loan next season if they stay up - getting regular Premier League minutes will do him well if he is to make the step up to our first team (although I'm still unsure if he can make that next level)
Thanks child. Your posts on here give you all the reputation you need, don't worry dude. And pretty sure 'jogging on' is not all I can do on here but hey ho.
Not about reputation bruv.. A bit of humulity is what is required.. Not like we a million of miles away from Newcastle points and performance wise over the past few seasons.. We are at the moment a middle team at best and say Willock is crap, hence that is why he is your best player... Means what precisely.. Arrogance over what exactly.. I guess you are going on Arsenal's reputation, right?
Humility required by who? For what? Are you mistakenly thinking this random forum of random posters somehow means anything to anyone or that you're writing some prosaic football analysis that is being read by pundits and fans the land over? Anyone could say whatever they want on here, no-one sane of mind would take anything said on a random forum to heart.
I personally think, aside from playing in cup games and being an impact sub, he wouldn't get many starts for us. Although he's got great energy and is always dangerous with those late runs into the box, in terms of his technical security and passing ability, he seems to be lacking behind the others. I'm not sure what we're going to do with him in all honesty. Maybe if we get an offer around £20m-£25m, we'll sell, but anything below that and he'll be a squad player next season. I do anticipate a number of our young academy players to be sold this Summer though.
This is Newcastle, we could get £40m off them easily. Either them or Everton. Always good for overpaying for binners.
hi 2 apologies. 1 for the stupid response you received. 2 for not beating Fulham, blame VAR. Willock needs PL game time and if he can get that regularly at Newcastle then another loan with you would be good for both teams
I believe Willock is and will ultimately be a mid table premier league player. That’s fine for what we are now, but just not quite good enough for where we want to be. I can easily see him moving to Newcastle on loan for another season, and yes I think if we get a £20m bid (he’s English), we would accept. good luck for the rest of this season; I’ve always said Newcastle and Arsenal are the two most poorly managed ‘big’ clubs in England. (Leeds used to be part) Both have owners who simply don’t give a ****.
Willock is quality. He scored a ****in blinder against Liverpool when we drew 5-5 with them in the league cup a few years ago. But he's been in and out of the team a bit since he broke through. I'm well pleased for him that he's finding his stride again at Toon currently. I really like him as a player, he's very attack minded and he can finish too. I want to see Arsenal building a team around the likes of Willock, Smith Rowe, Saka in MF for next season.
Scored in 6 consecutive games. The youngest to do that in the premier league. I'm starting to think we should keep him in the squad next season
Bet your bottom dollar if we bring back Willock, give him a dozen games he won't score to save his life in our set up!
