But he has creativity… pablo said he can pick a pass. Ergo creativity… yet he has none as he’s the same as scowen. Can’t be both.
As far as I'm concerned creativity involves much more than the ability to pick a pass. It involves making intelligent runs with the ball, runs into space to receive a pass or distract opponents. Neither Scowen nor Winchester fit this definition as far as I am concerned - both having mostly played at other clubs as a holding CM.
Agreed. But if you purr (as wolfy did) about the ability to pick a pass, it’s not about a 5 yards sideways pass surely? It surely has to have some sort of end product. Which is, in some part at least, creativity. Yet he literally states no creativity in an earlier post.
We clearly have different ideas on what the definition of ‘creativity’ is then. So we will agree to disagree in this case.
MOTM today imo. Not just the goal, but his all round play was excellent, great touch and cool on the ball. He looks leaner physically and he clearly ****ing loves playing for SAFC. Well played Winiesta.
Winchester was sensational today. If we'd signed him as a right back for this season we would be saying we have made an amazing signing. An absolute complete performance from him.
How buzzing must the lad be?! A year ago he was at Forest Green in L2. He’s not exactly young either, 28. Imagine how he now feels playing at SAFC in front of 30,000?! Unbelievable. Good on the bloke. The sort of character who will cherish every minute playing for our club.
Well humble pie happily eaten here. Can’t believe just how impressed I am with him this season. His goal today was sublime. So many (including the Accrington lads) would’ve just got it as hard as he could but he knew exactly what was needed and he took it beautifully. His celebration too. He looked like I would have scoring!!! Soo happy
'Winniester' is getting forward a lot, we also have the lochness drogba and 'Emblezedane' and today that was as good as the Lincoln play off performance, Neil also. but for the ref and time wasting we could have scored 6, nearly as good as Parkinson's team dare i say that. our best start in recent years was in 1975-76 we won the first 9 home league games best ever was the all 13 back in 1891-92 i think. If we improve on that we could win 17-18 home games. we have played 6 out of the top 8/9 teams as well and bolton (3rd) coming here next home game !. huggins, Alveres, and a couple more to come in as well, i hope O Brien gets another chance
I was never sure about Winchester, didn't think he was great or even good at CM although I didn't write him off. Certainly didn't expect him to be the best RB in league one, fair play to him. I bet he's a good character behind the scenes too.
