How many games until you think it's at a decent level? I've asked you this before and you've never answered. It's an absolute shambles at present and we've somewhere between 600 and 700 matches with it. So 1000? 2000? 5000? You're so confident it will improve so what time scale do you put on it?
Improve significantly! Well if we look at the recent games, they’ve got a ****e load of work to do. Again, one correct / good vs ???
So no answer again then Tom in 2030: "People can't whinge about VAR. It's early days and will definitely improve. Never mind that today's attendance was 246 and a stray dog."
At the present time we have a perfect storm, with completely inadequate technology, rules like the handball/offside conundrum that make absolutely no sense, and in charge of it all, mostly incompetent officials. And yet Tom still thinks VAR can still be made to work.
Of course it can work. It has made more correct decisions than incorrect ones. It's just the incorrect ones have been extremely controversial.
Fme, you could adapt that for refs; actually I will. “Refs make more correct decisions than incorrect ones. It’s just their incorrect ones are occasionally controversial”.
I see that Cook has gone off injured after just 5 mins. 24 hours after saying he wants revenge in the QF, for us essentially relegating them last year. Shame.
