Dear all, I am doing some research on women and sport and I would appreciate a few minutes of your time to share your thoughts. The survey is anonymous and can be found here: https://lboro.onlinesurveys.ac.uk/women-and-sport Thanks in advance.
They seem less butch these days. A few lookers in the world cup, but I couldn't tell you their names. No need to thank me.
I liked the question about does sexism still exist in sport. I think that's equivalent to 'is the Pope catholic'. But nice questionnaire, logical questions too. Boys smell
They're leading questions though. 'Would you favour more women in football' If they're the best person for the job then yes, but not just as a tick box exercise. Surely, if they want to end sexism, they need to scrap having a woman's league.
No they need to keep a women's league, or are you suggesting that women suddenly start playing in the men's league?
If the issue is sexism, they should be able to compete on a level playing field. What would be wrong with mixed gender teams?
Really, can you see mixed gender teams in local football? No, there'd be a few who'd give it a go, but the blokes wouldn't like it & it wouldn't be too long before someone is giving a woman **** & she starts crying. Some knob thinks giving her a tackle & bam she's famous worldwide for being taken out. Footballs already full of rules where the slightest touch is a foul, it would just get worse.
Sexism hardly applies to just football does it? Almost every popular sport there is, society in general, all have degrees of sexism. Some more than football. Rather than trying to fill up quotas to keep people with agendas happy, why can't these things just be based on ability?
Why indeed I agree. It's not as if the governing body for football in our country banned women from playing for many decades now is it. Now that would be really sexist. Oh hang on...
The questionnaire was also about women in sport in general. Your utopian society where everyone gets a chance based on ability is lovely but how would a disabled person, male of female ever have a chance in that world? Boys smell
When it comes to **** like this, then yes & I don't care, there's far too much PC already & this **** pisses me off. If women want to play football, rugby, basketball or whatever they want, then fair enough, but don't ram it down everyone's throat saying equality etc. Big can of worms going to get opened now! Women want equality, fair enough, but do the job they get paid to do. Don't expect the same wage as a man then expect special treatment when you can't lift something, or flutter your eyelids because your pretty & expect me to do your job for you. Back to the sports thing, in business, women might be great, so if they want to be in control of a club great, they can do the same job as a man, not better, not worse, the same. In sports or anything physical, it's about the ability to do the job, it's not as though you can say they are physically equal, the majority of women are smaller & weaker. It's not sexism it's just reality!
Ok mr PC sensitivity, FFS, I'm saying physically women can't be compared to men in a competitive way. It's not an opinion of mine it's based on the facts that the majority of women aren't physically as strong. Also in the job I do I work with a lot of women & find some who can lift & are willing to do the same lifting etc as me, however I also find a lot who think they should be treated differently & not be asked to lift things because they are women, yet still expect to be paid the same.
Amandine Henry for France, there are plenty of nice looking girls playing, if you'd ask women i'm sure they would all mention the ugly bastards in mens football outnumbering the lookers so it works both ways.
