Presumptuous for sure.....but a man can dream!!!! And England might benefit from coming second in the group!!!! I seem to recall another competition where we had England in our group and we progressed further!!!!!

I don’t know if you Welsh chaps agree but given how many teams there are in this comp it’s amazing to me how often ‘home’ nations seem to be drawn to face each other in the group stages.
    Fix?

We're a bit inexperienced in qualifying for major tournaments, but if you include qualifying stages, then you make a valid point. I'm not sure that FIFA promotes confidence in many of their actions.

Thought I’d resurrect this thread given we’re leading up to Sunday’s final.

Who do we want to play?
Who do we think we’ll play?
How will Page deal with who plays against Poland this Wednesday?

I reckon it’ll be the jocks, and it’s time for Wales to exact revenge for both 1977 & 1986.

    Good work nin.
I don't envy anyone playing Ukraine as the entire world (with obvious exceptions) will be on their side.
Not sure but I think events in their homeland will be driving them to a big performance.
They and Scotland will be tough opponents but like you, I'd love it if we could put to rest Jordangate.

    Scotland vs Ukraine tonight.
Hoping for a Ukraine win after extra time and penalties.
Not sure I can face another last ditch game for a WC slot against Scotland.

Either way, big game on Sunday.

    Nations cup?
Good to have a game as a warm up before the 'big one'.

Some of our starters for Sunday haven’t kicked a ball in a competitive match for quite a time.
Does Page risk them or will he want them getting game time against presumably a decent Polish team?

Think I'd rather us face Ukraine TBH.

I know the whole world would be willing them on but I think psychologically they'd be easier to play against rather than another British team.

Sadly I won't be at the game as I'm in London at the Abba (or should that be Abbatar) concert...... Don't ask why!!! <doh>:emoticon-0121-angry:headbang:<wah>

Hoping to get out and find a bar to catch the second half at least.

Sounds like you've met your Waterloo. Perhaps you can send out an SOS.
