Risky move for him that mind, fair play if it works out for him but surely Celtic need to look at better to get back on par with Rangers
Can’t see any truth in this tbf. Surely there looking at better then league one. He’s had one good season in what is it 3/4 seasons?
I don't hate the bloke but I never thought I would feel absolutely nothing toward a 30 goal striker leaving. I just never took to him
https://www.sunderlandecho.com/spor...illwall-offers-to-join-celtic-reports-3272225 Oh dear what a shame nevermind
Celtic should try and re-sign Mcgeady aswell otherwise they'll be lucky to get double figures out of him.
Hypothetically speaking here Start of 20/21 season… Someome says “you’ll have someone who scored you 30 goals have the end of this season. He’ll be linked with a club playing European football the season after. Your fans will say “good riddance”…” you’d say “nah, it’s Newcastle fans who react like that” we’re really starting to sound like them! If he goes, he’ll get my blessing. He was superb for us season just gone. Any striker scoring 30 goals has to have been excellent. I do, however, think Ross Stewart is a better footballer. Better striker too. So I don’t think we, as a team, will miss him. I just wonder how we’ll treat the next one who doesn’t score pretty goals but was 100% very good at what he was paid to do.
You’d think that of course, but he really wasn’t. His record overall whilst being here just isn’t good enough.
I think some think we will replace him with someone better. We probably wont. I hope he stays another season. I'd like us to see if he can prove he wasnt a 1 season wonder.
Hes hardly prolific is he. Hes 28 years old now and has never played at a higher level than league 1. Last season was abit of a freak season for him in terms of goals scored, and its no coincidence they started flying in as soon as Mcgeady came back into the frame. I take my hat off to him for what he achieved last season, but his all round play is very poor in my opinion and at 28 years of age its not going to get any better.
