Anyone else excited that it looks like they are going to start making the X-Files again? Original cast and series creator Carter back as well. They are working out the logistics of it right now. Also the 80-90's must be back in style or something with the X-Files coming back, Star Wars, a Zelda TV show, Twin Peaks coming back, Ghostbusters reboot and they are talking a reboot/new series arc of the Alien franchise as well with the director of District 9.
Blah on Spiderman. The only super hero that I care to see is Howard the Duck getting a real role in the next Guardians of the Galaxy and not just like a 2 second cameo like in the last Guardians of the Galaxy. "His pastimes are cigars and sex."
Howard the Duck is awesome he banged Lea Thompson in her prime (or thats what everyone assumed anyway).
Agreed, hope Deadpool the film will be awesome. Is Ryan Reynolds doing it? I heard he was interested, but I didn't know if it was tacked on it'd be him. My favourite X-man was Colossus, but they kinda goofed on his character in the films, he wasn't even Russian.
I didnt like Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool last time. I dont think I will like the spin-off movie with him in it unless some new director and writer take over and change the character a bit. Something wittier like that comic might work. The movie spin-off of the X-Men I'm looking forward to is the Gambit one. Once again not like that lame one in the x-men movie but a Gambit far more like the one in the cartoon back in the day.
That is Reynolds doing the voice AND motion capture, by the way. Still have the same feelings toward him? Reynolds is a huge Deadpool fan and knows how to treat the material. He was majorly pissed off with how they used him in Origins.
Na that was good. I seriously hatted him in Origins, it was ****ing horrible just like Gambit was horrible in it as well. Have the leaked Channing Tatum's test footage from Gambit yet? Tatum is a huge Gambit fan and has a real Cajun accent that he hides as he is from the area.
Everyone seriously hated Origins. Thankfully now it has been erased from the canon thanks to Days of Future Past.
Sweet, he played the character well in Xmen Origins. I'm really looking forward to seeing the Apocolypse storyline (it was hinted at the end of days of future past), it's my favourite one. Wonder who they'll choose as the horsemen. Fassbender, Berry and McAvoy would take most of the main cast out (I think that's who they'll choose as War, Famine and Death respectively, unless they use Angel as Death, I assume they'll bring the character Plague in as Pestilence).
Exciting, no. They've simply run out of ideas, just like Brucey did and now everyone is back to the beginning.
You're in luck, as the next one is called X-Men: Apocalypse. Don't expect them to use the same story though, as Age Of Ultron's story in the comics and film are much different.
I actually enjoyed it, I thought Liev Schreiber was great as Sabretooth, no idea why he wasn't featured in DoFP (well I do, he serves as a foil to Wolverine and he was busy travelling back in time. Which annoyed me because since when could Shadowcat do that?!)
Yeah, but throw us a bone; she's well known for being intangible, then all of a sudden she can suddenly send people back in time? What the hell? Also, really looking forward to the Heroes mini-series. "It stopped being good after Series 2", "shouldn't be brought back" etc. It should, it was awesome. Right up to season 4, thought the carnival storyline was great.
