O'Sullivan is just off the wall. That last frame (31) was out of this world.
    15-16 Selby.

Ronnie interviewed on Eurosport... 'I'm 44 without a cue action'.... 'I must have had 20 different cue actions today!'... he was amazing tonight...

If Ronnie doesn't win the final, he needs to retire - he's galaxies ahead of the rest.

Brilliant he may be, but as a model/embassador for the game, he's a PR disaster. Mentioned "cue action" at least 8 times in a 3 minute interview. What's that got to do with the price of bread ?
Insulting everyone. Win or lose the final, he should get out of the limelight. He's earnt enough. becoming an embarassment.

You say that like it's something new - he's been like that for 20 YEARS.

You have to remember I'm in the provinces Quill - we don't get the interviews very often. I'm sure he's been a prat forever. Get rid, he's only there for comedic value. The "expert panel" were wincing after the result this evening.

I used to play in a snooker team. Played for Riley on Bev Rd. Just a bunch of mates having a laugh really. I was an awful player.

Anyway.... One night we were playing Pint and Pot on Orchard Park. My opponent was a really good player. Way better than me, regular hundred breaks and trust me, I was awful and just playing for fun.

So I played the safety game and somehow I won. He was a miles better player than me, so I was a bit surprised.

Later that night I was having beers with a friend and all proud of myself with my win, I said "How the hell did I beat him?"

My friend: Well you know that girl you've been sleeping with.

That's his girlfriend and I told him earlier :emoticon-0101-sadsm

But as Quill says, at the game of snooker he's on a different planet to anyone else. When he's finished the bore factor in the game will return...

Presumably you thought most matches not involving O'Sullivan in this tournament were boring then ? If so, you can't be a fan of snooker ?

I wonder if the McGill/Wilson handshake might be scrutinized by the Covid police? If it is I hope they wait until after the final.

Snooker needs players like Ronnie, years ago it was Higgins, then Jimmy White came along, but for the most part it’s players wandering round the table, eyeing up the next shot & slowing the game down. That’s one of the reasons I haven’t really watched any in years, except every now & again.

When Wilson was racking the points up from the fouls that McGill was giving him on that red near the black. All Wilson had to do was keep making McGill take the shot but he took the shot himself and fouled. Was ridiculous. Frame could’ve been over soo far earlier than it was

Wilson went back to his seat, mouthing the word 'mad'. He wasn't wrong.

Ronnie says any BS to stay in the limelight. Didn't he say, about 5 years ago, that he'd converted to islam?
Seems like the kind of bloke who needs an edge to keep himself going.

Miserable grey day where I am, no pressure to go outside and do the garden, wash the car, go for a walk or anything. Perfect for slumping in front of tv to watch this final!

Going by the state of his hooter and the way he's always messing with it I don't think it's an edge he's using :emoticon-0105-wink: allegedly.
