So there's always going to be an overlap down both flanks when their full-backs get forward. Great plan!
Thought I read about it after the Stoke game him saying something about not being good at RB but was willing to play anywhere to get a game. At the same time a bit from the "experts" in the press saying he's a midfielder not a full back at all despite playing there in the Utd youth team!
I don't understand why we don't just give him a full time contract. He's hardly going to be expensive and overall cheaper than getting a left back in for Robertson's back up/understudy.
Burnsy said the other night that he was supposed to be getting a contract but it disappeared into the 'ask Ehab' department.
Yeah I heard that too. Raised a wry smile... You'd think even Ehab would realise what needs to be done here... surely... ?
Even just to raise the price we can demand from Arsenal/Everton which would make them more money. It's not bloody hard.
can you think of another club who have a really good 17 yr old prospect, played in cup games and done well yet hasn't been signed on a proffesional contract if it's true arsenal and everton will be licking their lips and will snoop in and take him my next point does it need a transfer window for say arsenal to take him off us? since he is not on a pro contract? guessing it still does
I had a small issue I was waiting for the club to decide on a couple of months ago Doesn't matter what, but it was very inconsequential in the scheme of things (literally 10s of £s at stake I suppose) It genuinely had to go to Ehab for a decision! It's no ****ing wonder there's poor decisions and pissed off employees if that's the level of micromanagement The 'Ask Ehab' Department ...
No, I don't think so. Didn't Torsten The Horse (what's his name) sign for us outside a transfer window?
They can offer him a contract any time after January first, but he wouldn't leave on a free until his current contract expired. If they bought him, then he'd join straight away.
But he's not on a proper contract. I suspect they probably could sign him now if they wanted, but wouldn't be able to register him to play in the first team until January.
They can't, we only have to offer him a contract to be entitled to the compensation and he still can't be signed outside a window.
He can currently be offered a contract and signed at any time under the EPPP. We get about 20k compensation I think with a potential to reach around a million if he goes on to make about 400 appearances for whomever signs him in the premier league. Can't remember the clauses exactly. Thinking about it though I don't think he'd leave til January as he's on a proper youth contract, I think the lads we took would have been on amateur contracts.
We're Level 2 Academy now, we are entitled to a higher band of compensation than we were previously. Add to that he has made senior appearances for us and that will all be taken into consideration.
Having looked, depending on when he joined our academy were entitled to a maximum of £56k, with an extra £150k paid for every 10 premier league appearances he makes for the club he leaves for up to a maximum of 100. Somewhere that fee drops to £100k per 10 apps, the max payable is £1.3m under EPPP. First team appearances for us have no baring.
From today's presser - Tymon: We're looking to play him more, there has been interest from other clubs and we're looking at a long term contract.
